Stoneyhall Farm offers self-catering accommodation situated in the Underberg, Southern Drakensberg. We are a working farm where you can get away from the normal and enjoy the peace and quiet our farm offers. The self-catering guest cottages are set in tranquil surroundings with breathtaking views of the berg and the farming valley below.

Forest Log Cabins can accommodate 2 guests and comes equipped with a double bed, an en-suite bathroom fitted with a bath, lounge area, and a kitchenette fitted with a fridge, microwave, and stove. This unit also comes equipped with a heater, patio, and private entrance.
Berg View Cottages come equipped with 2 double bedrooms downstairs, one room with a double-size bed and one with twin beds. The loft area upstairs has 4 single beds which are ideal for children. The beautiful farm is welcoming after the long, rough road from the airport. The view is breathtaking. The cabin is well appointed and suitable for a couple. Note, don't be alarmed if the cattle come pounding the cabin during the night to eat the wet grass next to it. Would recommend to any walkers of the Giant's Cup hike. It is about 30 min from the end point for easy parking.
The whole trip was great. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a quiet getaway.
Our stay at Stoneyhall was absolutely fantastic. I am so sorry we could only stay there one night, but I will definitely book there again in the future and then stay longer. The house was very nice and tidy and the location and surroundings are so beautiful. Santie is also a fantastic hostess and went out of her way when there was such a small disruption. I can safely recommend that anyone looking for a peaceful getaway near the Midlands and the mountains can stay here. It was a fantastic experience.
We had a restful, peaceful and happy weekend at Stoneyhall. It is "far from the madding crowd" which is precisely what we needed. Our puppy had a ball. If you plan to braai, take your own braai as the provided facility is inadequate. Otherwise, Stoneyhall is a very pleasant place. Thank you Santie.
Dirt road of 14 km to be taken very slow on a normal car with it being a bit of a challenge in places when wet.
When we arrived were told that the cottage was open and that's all. Got to the cottage, which was very cold and did not have any wood to make a fire (which was supposed to be there). Then wanted to make coffee but the whole inside of the kettle was black, had to boil water on the stove (looked inside the oven to find it extremely dirty so we could not cook our dinner). In the one bathroom the bath mat was dirty and the other bathroom door was jammed, making it hard to get in to use the toilet. We were finally given wood at 18:30 and ask to have a new bath mat as it stipulated for us not to use towels on the floor. They took the mat and never returned. Did not see a single person the next day either, so we left the keys at the reception and left.
We really enjoyed our stay! It is peaceful and one can relax. The cabin is very nicely located with a nice view of the mountains! Thank you very much. Elsa
The weekend we'll always remember. It was just wonderful.
The farm is ideal for finding your soul again and just gathering yourself again. Unfortunately, the road to the farm is a bit of a challenge, but once you get there everything is forgotten.
Hostess was very welcoming and friendly. The house had everything needed and it was clean and tidy. Feeling very safe and the tranquillity was delightful. The bathroom's beautiful view one big plus. Gravel road from the village in good condition. Very centrally located. Heritage Nursery one large luxury garden with very friendly owners and very helpful.
We arrived late, but Santie made sure the unit was open on arrival. We stayed in the Lilly unit. It is well appointed and has a nice view. The unit could be cleaner and basic amenities such as detergent and toilet spray were not available. However, we were caught off guard by the 13 km of bad gravel road to the farm and so we couldn't actually explore other places in the surrounding area, which is very unfortunate, nor drive to a store. Visitors with pickups and / or SUVs who don't mind bumps will be able to work with it. We were lucky enough to see the Drakensberg with snow and the view from the bath is great.
Had a great stay and really enjoyed the surroundings. Lilly Cabin was very cute. Will definitely go again.

Enjoyed our stay at lovely private and well-equipped chalet on Stoneywall Farm. Beautiful mountain setting with indigenous forest views. Friendly manager, Santie, was very knowledgeable about the Underberg and Sani Pass environment. She even advised about the cheapest garage for diesel in the area!

We stayed in the Haycroft Lodge unit. It was a lovely, scenic venue with an amazing view overlooking a nice dam for the kids to fish, canoe and have some freedom to explore safely. Large grassy area was a great place to play with kids. Accommodation was comfortable and clean, service was great but balanced to suit privacy. Highly recommend this venue for a large group with kids.
We stayed in one of the log cabins which has a great view of the mountains. The cabin is very well equipped with everything you could need. Perfect place to just relax and break away from city life and stress. Will definitely go back sometime!

We were kindly welcomed. The lodge was well furnished and tidy. Ideal for 2 people who just want to get away from the hectic life because you live on your own and there is no TV. Enjoyed the bath overlooking the mountains. The first day when we got there, it was terribly hot (it's usually not that hot in the mountains). There was no fan in the lodge so we got really hot. The hostess specially drove into town to look for a fan, but unfortunately could not find one. Luckily it was only that hot one day, the next day we got bitterly cold again. So combine winter and summer clothes. I also forgot to pack bread and the hostess was so helpful that she gave me a loaf of bread because I had to drive into town specially to buy one. The only bad part of our stay was the dirt road on the way to the farm. It's okay if you have a 4x4 or van, but with a BMW you have to drive VERY slowly. Furthermore, we rested well. Sorry it was so short.

We loved Stoneyhall Farm. The cottage was exactly what was needed. It was neat and tidy and has everything you need. We unfortunately didn't get a chance to fish but because of the location we were able to do some amazing drives in the berg.
