We really enjoyed ourselves, the place was exactly what we were looking for.
The place looks exactly like the pictures. The back yard is spacious for young children to run around and play; our children had a blast on that lawn. The pool is nice, not too big so our children could also enjoy the pool. The house itself is nice and big. It was perfect for a big family like ours. It was really like a home away from home; you feel comfortable and welcome the moment you step foot in the house. We were in load shedding stage 6 for the weekend, but there were things to do when load shedding happened during the day. The harbour is a 10-minute walk away, and you can spend your time there and on the beach, which we did during that 4 hours with no electricity. We would definitely go back for our next family vacation.
From the start to the finish, we felt very welcome, the interaction was brilliant, house was great, thank you very much, we love the place, and will come back soon.
Very nicely furnished for visiting with large indoor barbecue and well-equipped kitchen and quality implements and enough crockery and cutlery. I missed burglar bars in front of windows. Small bit of tea and coffee would have been nice on arrival as we checked in late. Battery bulbs helped during load shedding.
The house and garden were ideal for our family get-together. The garden was perfect for the children and they loved the pool. There was plenty of space for everyone. The decor was appealing and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen is well-fitted. A pity the dishwasher did not work. Rykie, the hostess, was amazing! She was available to help whenever needed.
From the initial contact from Teresa to Rykie being available at the house. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Struisbaai Beach House. The home has everything we needed for a large group and in close proximity to the beach, harbour, lighthouse and the point.

The house was great, plenty of accommodation but especially loved the garden. plenty of space for our large family to spread out even a game of cricket. Loved the short walk to the harbor for a swim and to buy fresh fish for our braai. We will be back.

The only 2 issues we did have is that there was a miscommunication regarding cleaning service and the fridge was a slight issue. However, the host was quick to sort out matters. We as a family enjoyed our stay and will be back.
The house is not as clean as I would have liked it to be. Shower tiles need a scrub. Bins in bathrooms not thrown out from previous guests. Toilets are black inside. Kitchen surfaces were dusty and I had to sand pots and pans before I could use them. For the price one pays, I expect a clean house. Bedding was great. Thank you.
The house is 'fully equipped'. It really has a lot and more, you don't need to take any extra and unnecessary luggage with you. The area is peaceful.

Spacious rooms with inside braai and big lawn. Lovely house with swimming pool included. Kitchen can be cleaned every day if preferred. Few little things bothered - unfortunately the DStv did not work all the time and a few lights blew all the time even though light bulb was replaced. The wood packet was selected and it was not available with arrival and we only received it the following day after informing the hostess. Although dogs were arranged in advance, we had to raise the wall with the neighbors at our own expense. Otherwise we had a lovely stay, thank you very much.
The house is beautiful with its theme beach house, big grounds, the swimming is a bonus especially if you are with kids even adults who can not swim can actual enjoy swimming as it is not that deep.
We would go there again anytime. It was nice and clean and tidy and very well equipped.

A wonderful family vacation home. Beautifully furnished and so clean! Enough space for a large family with small children, teenagers and grandmothers and grandfathers. Maid service every day was a bonus! We'll be back soon!

Our stay at the Beach House was amazing. Everything about our visit was fantastic. You don't need to bring anything with you, just your clothes and your food. Even though the house is beautiful, comfortable and close to the harbour and shops, it felt impersonal and dirty with no provision for load shedding. We encountered dust, spider webs and spiders in the house. The duvet cover was torn and there were heaps of cigarette butts even though the house rules stipulate it is a non-smoking house. The fridge's ice machine didn't work. There were only fans that were insufficient for cooling down the sunny rooms. We had to wait to be helped even after I let them know what time we'd arrive. Nobody showed us around or how anything worked, neither were the rules given to us. I only discovered it on the third day. There were only burnt out candles without anything to light them during load shedding. We don't smoke, so we don't carry it around with us. The pool room was locked and out of use. Some cupboards were locked. The couches were covered with fabric, so we weren't even sure if we were allowed to use it. The communication with the owner wasn't good as she was abroad. We had such a hard time in the dark, entertaining our five year old who is even scared of the dark, and though they really needed to provide for the inevitable load shedding for the sake of your guests' comfort. We only lasted 5 days, especially after learning that the bedding never gets washed during the 10 days of our stay, only after we leave? And we paid extra for cleaning service we never got. Only a few dishes were washed and the front floors cleaned. Nothing else. In 5 days the beds were made once as there weren't many dishes. Would never recommend this place to anyone.

We celebrated my fiancé's 30th with friends at this house and it was a wonderful experience! The house is well-equipped and cozy. Teresa wasa very friendly and knows the meaning of hospitality. Just take your own cleaning products (wasing machine helps a lot). I definitely recommend it.
We were a whole familie and immediately decided to make it an annual thing if possible. The house is very well equipped and had a great layout so that no one feels cornered, even though there were 10 adults. If someone wanted to take a nap, they could because the bedrooms are away from the entertainment rooms. I was in love with the house from the very first moment and would buy it if I could! However it is not for sale and I can see why! I can definitely recommend it as excellent value for money.
Love love love the house. It's walking distance from the harbour and shops. The garden and swimming pool provided the kids with endless joy. Unfortunately there was no toilet paper or washing up soap, otherwise they deserve 5 stars.
What an exceptional venue! Kitted with everything you could possibly need and well maintained. Kitchen utensils galore and enough crockery to dine in style. Perfect location that's a stone's throw away from the harbour and shops. I will definitely stay there again.

The house has a lot of space and the kitchen is equipped with absolutely every appliance you will need. It has two living areas with TVs making it ideal for giving children their own space. The indoor and outdoor barbecue is very handy for when the weather turns. The pool is a nice size and the large lawn with nice climbing trees makes it very nice for children to run around and play. Will definitely stay there again.

Very comfortable house. There were six of us, but I can see that twice as many people would be able to stay without being in each other's way at all. I am in love with the layout of the kitchen and scullery. Everything was perfect. I just want to mention that there is a mandatory R300 cleaning fee and although the place was clean, I could see that the house had not been gone through before we arrived. I would recommend this house to a large group of people anytime. There are lovely shade trees behind the house.

What a lovely warm & welcoming HOME! It has the best kitchen and dining area I have seen for along time. The whole house is well-furnished and very comfortable, great value for a large group. Well situated, just 2 blocks from the harbour.
