49 guests' feedbackDoesn't look like pictures at all. Walls are paper thin, and I had to listen to the neighbors' cell phone conversations until late at night. Bedding urgently needs to be replaced. Small repairs are very much needed, such as the handle of the bathroom door, the shade of the light, the towel hook in the bathroom that is broken, and the arm of a chair on the porch that is off.
I slept very well. Only pity there is no air conditioning in the rooms because it was very hot. If you open the windows and doors, a little cooler air comes in. I couldn't keep the windows open for too long or the insects would come in. The WiFi is also not too good. The single bed in the room looks like there are blood stains on the blanket; i could see it through the cover.
It was nice and refreshing.
If it hadn't been for our group of friends, then I wouldn't have known. The place is spacious; however, there's much room for improvements.

Not checked into the lodge but in pond house full of cobwebs, with load shedding we know it will happen and there were no candles or any light available, had to walk around at night to get hold of candles. Owner was away and staff not up to standard and driving as she pleases, not very happy, have photos to show.
We were a total of ten staying in the Blue Mountain Farmhouse, and the place is spacious. And whilst there was sufficient sleeping for up to eleven people, there were not enough cups or glasses for everyone to enjoy a beverage at the same time. Only one burner works without issues on the gas stove. The pictures are also outdated. However, everyone made the best and really enjoyed themselves, and our host Bruce was amazing too.
Kids had a fun time in the pool, it was stunning standing next to the river bank.
Very nice cabin-style accommodation with a great braai area.
It was a very nice weekend. I will probably visit there again soon.

Beautiful scenery on working sheep farm: new owners, so animals are minimal at the moment. Farm and scenery is still beautiful and peaceful, with a stream running behind the lodging. It was winter and rooms were very cold, heater didn't work, unfortunately. Kettle and tea/coffee facilities were a nice touch to the room. Communal kitchen and lounge area is a lovely touch too especially to meet new folk, just a pity it was left filthy upon our arrival and only cleaned the next day at about 10 am. Still a nice place and hope to return again soon, for more than just one night perhaps.
Organisation was a bit confused. Owner got outstanding balance wrong and it took too long for us to check in.
The service was good. The house was nice and clean, it was definitely worth the effort and value for money. I would like to visit it again anytime.

Jaco provided sufficient information and service for us during our stay. The shared use of the swimming pool limits its potential.
Excellent for family gatherings, communal kitchen were everyone can cook together, do the dishes together and swop recipes, a lapa for socialising, braai and parties. Lapa: distance from the rooms is just far away enough in case you have to crawl or just want to get away for some privacy. Hot water gets 10 out of 10. Fantastic for children with farm animals, games, swimming pool and trampoline. Rooms were neat, cute furniture. Bathrooms are neat and convenient. Large farm dwelling lacks a little where it concerns facilities, where we all stayed, but otherwise it was 100%. Very nice getaway from the city life. From all of us in the group, we would like to say thank you very much to Jaco for his hospitality. Thanks for everything. We will recommend this place to anyone willing to listen to us. May your business and farm be blessed for the rest of your days.

The owner was not there when we arrived because his wife was in the hospital. A very friendly young man received us and gave us the key. We mention to him that we would like to barbecue, he says yes, there is a nice barbecue lapa. When we wanted to get ready for the braai we realized we hadn't brought any cutlery. We're going to have a very expensive dinner in town. The next morning I saw a door standing open in the middle of all the rooms that had been locked the night before with an alarm light on. I then walked in there and to my surprise it was a beautiful, equipped kitchen with cutlery and seating tables to eat at. I ask the cleaner if it is for the guests' use, to which she replies yes. Why didn't the young man tell us about it and unlock it for our use, after he knew we were going to barbecue? It is a beautiful place, quiet and peaceful, clean and tidy and affordable. But please enlighten. your guests in from the nicely appointed kitchen and living room.

We booked the farmhouse for 7 people, but it is equipped for 9 people. We thoroughly enjoyed it and Uncle Richard and his wife made us feel very much at home. And there is a nice place to go for a walk.
The place is situated close to amenities. Overall it is just a great place, I would definitely recommend it to all.
SwelleN2 is the perfect place to spend the night. The room was spacious enough for 2 adults and 1 child. The rooms are very neat and clean.
Very nice weekend place. Very quiet for me and the braai place was very convenient, a bit far from the kitchen. Could maybe think of developing two or three family units (developed with two bedrooms) rear deck could easily be used for that.

Had not stayed here for a while. Needed value for money accommodation as it was the entire family with 2 teenagers. It looks as if new owners have taken over and put effort into the place, nice braai area with wood, swimming pool and a well equipped communal kitchen. Dining and chill area with TV. As it was quiet the reception put us in two rooms instead of a family room with bunk beds at no extra charge.
SwelleN2 was a great place to stay. Very convenient just outside of Swellendam, and everybody more than happy to answer any questions I had. Everyone made sure we were comfortable and the premises were neat and tidy. The river provided a fun place to explore for the children. It's the first time I've taken my dog with on a trip and he had such fun too. I was very reluctant to go home again!
The farm is really beautiful and animals are well cared for. Staff very friendly and made an extra effort ─ allowed my children to feed sheep and goats and hold a little lamb. Accommodation itself is small and the kitchen is a communal kitchen. It wasn't a bad place to stay overnight, but I wouldn't be able to stay there for a week. Their rate is high compared to the facilities.
We enjoyed our stay in this comfortable lodge. We only missed WiFi but otherwise our stay was perfect. Highly recommended.
