We were highly impressed with the artistic decor, furniture and ambience of The Artist's Cottage and its setting. The extras were pleasing, including the mosquito net, which we appreciated. The stoep loungers and other furniture positioned in a shaded and well-maintained garden with a swimming pool made it extra special.
The air con was life-changing in December. Sally was lovely.
Great stay in a great spot.
Offer everything. No shortage of anything.
Daily cleaning but there is no TV nor microwave facility.
Sally is friendly and hospitable and there is everything you need.
A must to put on your "To Do" list.
The muesli, yoghurt, fruit and rusks were a lovely surprise!
Lovely bed, lovely bath and even yoghurt, muesli, fresh fruit and good coffee. This is the perfect place for 2 people in Prince Albert. An artistic little house with everything you can think of, nice linen, art DVDs, lovely pool, small braai if you wanted, muesli and yogurt, fresh fruit and delicious coffee. All within walking distance of the village. And Sally is a delightful hostess, we can highly recommend The Artist's Cottage.
The cottage is beautifully and artistically furnished. Local yogurt in fridge, biscuits, coffee, etc. Fruit. Neat and clean. Bed sleeps so well! Sally made a reservation for dinner, friendly and helpful. The list goes on and on.
Just a pity about the many mosquitoes - next time I will remember to bring something to spray on.
Prince Albert, a beautiful Karoo town! The Artistâ??s Cottage in Nuwe Street painted in crispy white and Karoo blue colours had a lovely artistic charm to it. The cottage was a comfortable oasis from where I explored all this Karoo town had to offer. I visited the wine farms, local dairy and the various shops and restaurants.nnThis cottage was well priced, clean and comfortable with everything you might need for self-catering. The owner, a talented artistâ??s artistic touch is visible in every room in this cottage, being a creative person myself I loved it all! This town has a lot of charm, the beautiful old houses and churches in town along with the breathtaking Karoo landscape is a photographers dream. I found the locals to be warm and friendly and took the time to chat to as many of them as possible to really experience the heartbeat of this beautiful Karoo town! The Artistâ??s Cottage comes highly recommended!
The place is very neat and tasteful. All you need is a place to put your bags.
Artist's Cottage was wonderful. The only complaint I have is that there were loads of mosquitoes hiding behind the curtains in the bedroom. Perhaps this should be checked daily and a spray used to kill them, because once you close the curtains at night they are trapped in the bedroom. However, other than that, it was marvelous!
