Service was very slow. Rooms were not ready on time. Staff were extremely rude. Rooms weren't properly restocked. Restaurant manager is terrible - waited 3 hours for dinner.

From when we arrived it was absolutely wonderful, from the staff to the room and the food was delicious. The location is great, you can walk through the hotel to the back entrance and walk to the V&A from there. It is so safe with security guards all over. The staff are really helpful and friendly. The Commodore is conveniently located near the V&A Waterfront, aquarium, Hop-on red bus routes, view of Table Mountain. Several routes to follow from this point.

Staff were all very efficient and friendly. Room comfortable and had all the amenities one needs for a comfortable stay. The hotel is well placed for a short walk to the waterfront, so very easy access for shopping, restaurants, and all that the V&A offers. Large selection of breakfast items on offer to cater for all tastes.
The Commodore received us kindly, the staff are friendly and eager to help. The food is out of the books of which the buffet breakfast was fantastic! They also offered a braai buffet for Sunday lunch at R99.00 p/p which was extremely cheap and tasty. The room was neat and comfortable and that personal attention when you get there in the evening and your bed is made up with a chocolate and bottles of mineral water makes you feel extra pampered. And then the location is of course the best! Walking distance to waterfront and stadium. Will definitely stay there again in the future!

The Commodore transports you back in time, to where you feel like you're the only person there. From the reception to the room amenities and spa. It really is such a treat every time.
We slept there for 3 nights. Every afternoon on our return we had to ask for our room to be serviced. I think it's very poor that the cleaners hadn't come to the rooms by 4 o'clock in the afternoon, and that after we'd been out the whole time.
Reception was fantastic. The rooms are very neat, clean and spacious and one feels safe. The view is beautiful. The breakfast was of the best quality. Close to the waterfront which was nice walking distance.
