45 guests' feedbackBeautiful cottage in a peaceful setting. Two girlfriends who each had their own room with full ensuite, with lovely large showers and lovely bathrooms. Christine put in so much effort. Foaming soap for the bathrooms, lots of extra towels for the outdoor wooden bath, delicious bottle of red wine and olives for our arrival. Plenty of wood and blitz to keep all the fires burning. We will definitely book again!
We always have such a good time here! The hostess is great. We would love to go back again!
Perfect place for a weekend away to be peaceful. The cottage is perfect and has everything you need and more! It has an alarm and is fenced, which makes one feel very safe. And the fact that it was fenced in, our little one could safely play "inside". With solar lights outside and rechargeable lights inside, load shedding didn't bother us at all. The indoor barbecue was nice for a cold evening! We will be back again soon!
It was perfect. All the effort that has gone into the place is fantastic and the hostess is always on hand.
A very nice house on a farm between Kleinmond and Hermanus with a nice play area for children and a jacuzzi for the cold winter. Also indoor and outdoor grills that keep you warm all the time. Friendly people who are very helpful. Will go here again to relax.

Really enjoyed the time at Nuwejaarsrivier, especially the hot tub and kayaking.
When we arrived we were just speechless at how beautiful it was there. Christine was just the best and made sure we had everything we needed and that we had a great stay. Will definitely stay there again, but a weekend is just too little.
Christine and Eddy were very friendly and welcoming, as were their doggies. We enjoyed the spacious cottage, the hot tub, the braai, sitting on the comfortable chairs on the patio and the good location, close to all the Botrivier attractions and wine farms.
The friendly and helpful host, Christine, was like a friend. We fell in love with the dog George. A glass of wine and the hot tub, what more could you want. Many, many thanks to Ian and Julie.
It was just what you need to get a break from city life. No cars - no sirens. The attention to detail was phenomenal. The tub was hot upon our arrival and ready for us to enjoy. Wood was provided from blitz to matches. Daily walks on the farm were peaceful and serene. Absolute gem of a place.
Can recommend this place - definitely one of our favourites! Christine was very friendly and helpful. The farm is beautiful, the Kol-Kol pool was clean and already heated when we got there. The hostess left us delicious wine and Lindt chocolates in the kitchen as a welcome gift. Will definitely book with them again.
Kol Kol hot tub was amazing. The unlimited supply of wood was great too.
Hot tub was hot on arrival, plenty of wood and fire lighters, fully equipped, chocolate and wine, exquisite decor!
Our stay was wonderful, every minute, the owners are great and welcoming. The cottage very neat and pretty, the place has everything, the set up, the atmosphere, you can't help but relax, and the hot tub was a huge bonus, definitely would love to go back. Will recommend this place to anyone. Keep up the great service, 5 out of 5.
A wonderful visit where the hostess goes above and beyond to provide the finest details (ranging from essentials to pure pampering). Cleanest grill, bag of ice in fridge, plenty of wood, hot tub right temperature on arrival to be able to get in right away, bottle of local wine, Lindt chocolate, bubblebath, lamps for power outages, great bedding, plenty of towels so you don't have to feel left out with a not wet ones, can visit until Sunday and make the weekend extra long and handy list of things to do and restaurants with contact details etc.
View lovely, hot tub worked overtime. Cottage had everything we needed including wine and chocolate. Christine is awesome.
The size of the cottage definitely exceeded my expectations, a spacious shower and bath for both bedrooms and a huge king size bed! Christine goes beyond in making you feel welcome, on arrival we received a bottle red wine and some chocolates and Christine was warming up the wood-fired hot tub. She considered the small things which I loved and we will definitely be visiting again soon!
A wonderful place to relax. We enjoyed the wood-fired hot tub, the incredibly comfortable beds and the spacious, furnished patio. Lots of room to play and explore, and Christine was an exceptional host, always available to help with queries.

The location is absolutely beautiful and everything is fantastically well furnished with everything you need.
Very quiet, ideally located, ideal break and "recharge"
We were able to relax in the cottage. Everything that was needed was provided and the cottage is tidy yet cosy. The large hot tub is great fun for the whole family.

The cottage is excellently planned and we had everything we could need. Our hostess, Christine, was very good with communication before and during our visit and made sure we had everything we needed, especially when phase 4 load shedding started. We will definitely want to visit again.
We enjoyed a very relaxing 2 day stay in this peaceful part of the world. Christine was super efficient from the booking stage right up until arrival and departure. A heated plunge pool was awaiting us on arrival which we enjoyed very much. The location is very well located to explore the surrounding areas. In hindsight, we should have stayed longer.
We went to stay on New Year's River for a getaway weekend in early November. It was a windy weekend, but the place is built so that the visiting areas are nicely sheltered. The braai place, hot tub and other facilities are top notch. Christine received us warmly and immediately made us feel at home. A gem of a place. We will do so again, for sure.
Had been a very good decision to spend the night there. The bath was refreshing, unique and lovely therapy. Will definitely use The Cottage again in the future.

The Cottage at Nuwejaarsrivier Farm is just a stone's throw from the shops and beaches in Onrus and Hermanus, the wine farms of the Hemel-en-Aarde valley but has the peaceful feel of a farm. Good finishing, luxury fittings and attention to detail give the cottage a homely feel. The attention and care of an excellent hostess adds to the pleasure of staying there.
We had the most wonderful cosy stay at the farm. Christine is fantastic, and the view and setting food for the soul. Everything was super comfortable, and the hot tub very relaxing, can't wait to go back. Thank you for a fantastic stay.

Our weekend at The Cottage at Nuwejaarsrivier Farm was very enjoyable. The Jacuzzi was a winner and there is nothing better than a hot Jacuzzi after the day's activities. It's a very nice place to rest. I was able to get a lot of sleep. Because it's so quiet and peaceful. Hubby and I could also be nice and romantic. It's nice and private. It's the right place if you want to get away from it all. And the owners are very friendly and made us feel very welcome. I would go again anytime and recommend everyone I know.
Hospitality is unbeatable. The accommodation is very well equipped. Very good quality finish, linen and equipment. Braai wood is provided and the hot tub is special.

She made a special effort to heat the hot tub for us so that we could just get in after our wine tasting in the valley. The hot tub is a winner! The cottage is well equipped with everything you need for a weekend getaway. Everything tasteful, clean and tidy. The freshly picked sweet corn that Christine's husband brought us to grill was the best ever!
The Cottage at Nuwejaarsrivier Farm has a fitted kitchen with everything you need. Access to the accommodation was very easy and effortless. Christine received us very warmly. We will definitely be going back again soon and would recommend it to anyone.
The cottage is beautifully appointed with a luxurious bath and shower in each room's en-suite, comfortable beds, fully equipped kitchen (including coffee plunger and filter coffee), toasty fireplace for the cold nights and a lovely stoep from which to survey the mountains in the distance.
