The Cottage Collection offers self-catering holiday accommodation and is located in the quaint fishing village of Paternoster, on South Africa’s West Coast.

Accommodation at The Cottage Collection comprises 16 individually decorated cottages, which can accommodate between 2 to 4 persons. Each unit consists of either open-plan living or separate bedrooms with a private bathroom, a well-equipped kitchen that contains the necessary appliances to prepare and cook meals, and an open-plan living area.

In addition, most cottages have a cosy fireplace, each cottage contains a TV with selected hotel DStv channels or Netflix streaming, and a patio with braai facilities for guests to use.

The town of Paternoster offers a down-to-earth coastal lifestyle, and centuries-old traditions are the soul of this working fisherman’s village. The town possesses a special kind of magic, one which every visitor feels but few can define.

"Wonderful!"

Very nice stay in the unit. Was clean, modern and well priced for what you get. There is a loft unit, which means one more person can sleep there (but this is not indicated on the booking) and the bed was not made.

We enjoyed our stay (The Owl house). The location was perfect, safe and convenient to everywhere, literally. We just wish the blankets provided were washed. This would have sealed our stay, considering that it was quite cold during our three-day stay. Other than that, I would recommend The Cottage Collection and their modern-looking accommodation.

"Perfect, peaceful and the best weekend ever."

It was perfect from the arrival until we had to drive. Everything was in place and neat and clean. We felt truly special. Will definitely book again. Excellent service and the places The Cottage Collection has everything one needs and is fully equipped for loadshedding. Nice firewood was ready for us for the fireplace and we could just rest and eat and have a nice time together. Sincere thanks!

We thoroughly enjoyed the setting as well as the beautiful design of the cottage. From utensils to appliances, everything was available and in excellent working order. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Excellent. Very peaceful. Perfect location. Just one incident on the day of arrival: we hung clothing on the wall at the outside shower, and the gardener working in the cottage behind this one took the garment from the hook on the wall. I managed to stand on a chair to peer over and saw him with it, and he then passed it over. It did not fly over. He had a ladder up against the wall.

I went with my partner to the Owl House. We had the best time ever. Wo peaceful. There was building at the time but it was not a nuisance at all. The hosts were very friendly and very attentive to us. Thank you for an awesome stay.

"Fantastic location with all amenities possible! The fireplace is a highlight (in winter). Walking distance to the sea is a bonus!"

Friendly service, the fireplace is great for a winter visit. Gas stove is a bonus (load shedding). Walking distance from sea and town and shops, restaurants. Town full of character. Cottage Collection's houses (Lavender) are beautiful with all amenities. Was a great West Coast experience.

Sunbird Cottage is beautifully furnished and looks exactly like the photos. We had a great time relaxing and especially enjoyed the braai and fireplace. Located close to the sea and ideal for a getaway.

It was nice and quiet and we felt like it was our own home. We love the decor about the cottage and it was nice and cozy, me and my fiance would like to come again. I showed my family some pictures of the cottage and we are coming soon but would like a bigger cottage. We will definitely come again and this time we will be a large group.
