Always have a great stay at The Gables. This is the 3rd time we have stayed there.
Overslept for Loskop Marathon. Perfect location. Safe.
Clean and safe. Disappointed that breakfast was not included.

No one seen in the morning. Couldn't find the WiFi password anywhere. Kettle in room but was not plugged in.
Because it was already late, most places were already fully booked. I understand why other places fill up before this one. It's dark and extremely difficult to locate. It's clean yes, but parking is a problem. Furniture has seen better days. Impossible to shower ─ no hot water ─ no water for that matter. Three drops of cold water in the shower. Sleeping place for 5 people, but one small mirror of 20x30 cm in the bathroom.
Bedding on one bed was unwashed. We slept on top of the bedding and luckily had our own pillows there. Shower was not very clean either. There was also mold in the bathroom that had just been painted over.
Every request we made was immediately acted upon. Every thing was done to accommodate our group of 10 adults. The food was enjoyable. In summary we would use the Guest house again next year.
Clean place, kind of official, and breakfast is top class.
Room is tidy, "solar inverter" ensures light during load shedding. Beds are a bit uncomfortably hard, feather pillows are hopelessly too thin, but black mold in the bathrooms is a problem. We were moved to a 2nd room but there was also black mold in the shower. Bathroom door was dirty. Only 1 powdered milk provided for twin room. Otherwise, friendly service, safe, hot breakfast despite load shedding.
They need to do something to deal with the birds on the roof over the bedrooms - very noisy.
Quiet neighbourhood is good. Manager is attentive. Room spacious but could do with not painting wall black nor carpet grey in order to make room more light-filled. Photo shows room many linens brighter than it actually is.
Very nice old house. Breakfast is delicious. Good service and clean bedroom.
We had a great time together as a family and they went out of their way to make it as pleasant as possible for us.
The Gables is very centrally located and is also a historic site.
The old historic house is complimented by modern rooms that are comfortable and well equipped. The hostess (Heleen) is a lovely person and deserves all the credit for a very good stay. I can definitely recommend The Gables for an overnight stay or an extended stay. Thank you for a wonderful start to our break. It got the whole experience off to a good start. We wanted to sleep there again on the way back, but time caught up with us.

Had room 1, the room is very large, with a couch for watching TV as well as a desk. Was neat and clean and slept well there. Sunday's big breakfast was top notch.

Your service is excellent. The breakfasts and dinners are fantastic and your friendliness really contributed to the absolutely lovely accommodation. The parking was safe, the surroundings were quiet and didn't hear any vehicles. I will definitely use them again any time. You're highly recommended.

It is a stately old residence with an interesting history. The guest room was clean and tidy. We can definitely recommend the Gables Guest House.
We had a very nice stay. The room was spacious with enough space for all of us. It was also a plus for us that there was a bath and a shower in our room. We also had a delicious breakfast. Dewald was very hospitable. Will definitely stay again.
The breakfast Saturday morning was provided on Friday evening due to the fact that we had to get up early on the Saturday morning.

A bit expensive. The room is nice and clean. The bathroom needs some attention. The shower door does not close properly and the sink faucet was loose. Furthermore, a very pleasant atmosphere and the owners are fantastic people.
