Friendliest hostess! Beautiful home with style and comfort. Everything that was needed is there. Staff are very helpful and cleaning service is thorough. Lovely swimming pool and outside braai and social area. Close to shops (located on high street). Enough space that guests are not in each other's space and can still have privacy.

The Rectory Guest House dates from 1820 and has been beautifully renovated by the very kind and friendly owner, Esther. There is a cosy, even nostalgic atmosphere, and we really enjoyed staying in the old place with its spacious rooms. The house is very centrally located and is walking distance to everything. We will definitely stay there again in the future.

Guesthouse with character.
Specifically requested with booking for 2 rooms with showers. Then got one room without a shower with a bathtub whose plug doesn't seal. Washing was a challenge for that room's guests. Wifi did not provide internet access at all.
The guest house is beautiful and has a special charm. The rooms and bathrooms are enormous. The well equipped kitchen is a bonus.

It was our second time staying at Rectory (group of 8) and we want to thank Esther for the lovely breakfast as well as for organizing dinner for us at Bella-Louise. We all enjoyed our stay.
We were a group of 8 members. We had a warm welcome by the owner Esther. We had not arranged for dinner in advance and within 5 minutes she had arranged with her friend Ruth that we could eat at her restaurant. The accommodation is refreshingly beautiful with comfortable beds, rooms also very spacious with en suite bathrooms. The whole setting is beautiful and peaceful. We were forced to spend another night and although she was quite fully booked she was able to accommodate some of our group members! Don't miss her shop Aunty Poppies! Will definitely stay there again.
