The host was so accommodating, the stay was peaceful, comfortable and had all things which may be needed for a stay.
It is always neat and clean.
It's always nice to stay here. It is centrally located and close to the places we need to be.
We had a warm welcome from the host. He waited for us and immediately knew who we were when we stopped in front of the gate, even opened the gate for us. Everything was very tidy and one of the best overnight accommodation we stayed at, very helpful. All we missed was a small box of milk to have an evening tea and morning coffee. The rest was all available. Thank you for your kindness and help with an inquiry of a place.
Affordable, clean and tidy and secure parking. Host kindly received was very accommodating. Had to check in 2 hours before check in time.

The place is neat and I liked the decor. There is everything one needs for one night. Even provision for load shedding. Just a bit small for 4 people, so a bit cramped. Definitely value for money.
Owner forgot my reservation, even though I contacted him directly as well. Room is very compact, cockroaches walking around, shower is quite a creepy sight and we had terribly busy and noisy guests next to us until late at night. Depends where you want to go, but location is quite out of the way of any good centers or sights.
The full size fridge and Wi-Fi backup during loadshedding is well appreciated.

There are a few units on the same premises. My husband is on crutches so luckily our accommodation could be changed to the ground floor! Excellent privacy, friendliness and communication!
Nothing more to say. I stayed there before and was disappointed that the room was disappointing. Previously it wasn't the case. Perhaps they didn't have time to clean but we checked in late so that cannot be the reason.

If I can highlight 2 things it is that the place needs new towels and maybe only allocated parking per room. Was awesome! Will definitely recommend. Everything you need for a self-catering unit. We just slept there in the evenings so for us it worked 100%.

For an overnight stay where you're just looking for a bed to rest your body for a weekend, Tranquility is definitely the place. Our only negative comment is that you waste a lot of water waiting for hot water, which we can't really afford in the Cape. But for a quiet area near most major shopping centers and hospitals, it is the best.

Practical layout with all necessities at your disposal. Picturesque view of city in quiet peaceful area. Definitely a must for any traveler.

This is always our one stop when we come to the Cape and they have space available.
Very good value for money. And the customer service is top notch. I would like to give 5 stars for value for money also because there was fresh milk and coffee available, the good fast internet is also a big plus point. I would have given cleanliness 5 stars as well if there weren't a few cockroaches here and there. I also only gave 4 stars for safety because the parking spaces are shared and a bit cramped. Other than that, our stay was perfect.

The accommodation is pleasant and well located. However, we had a problem with hot water at the dish sink as well as the hand sink in the room. After we ran the faucets for a long time as the owner said to do. No fire holders for the lamp intended for loadshedding. Cell phone lights are only used. On top of that, we will definitely stay there again in the future.

The towels did not smell pleasant at all, had an odd smell. The pillows also smelt odd.
It's our second visit in less than two months and each time we've been very well received. The rooms are so neat. You feel at home. I would recommend the place to anyone or couple who wants value for their money. I would definitely go again!

Henz is very helpful and goes out of his way to please you. Will knock on his door again anytime.
When you turn on the shower, you stand with the handle in your hand. Plug of the sink in the bathroom does not close tightly. Wash your face under running water. Kitchen sink plug leaking and saucepan full of water. Cockroaches in your bed. Cutlery sticky. Everything you want to use must be washed.
I really enjoy the stay it was a one in a lifetime experience that I would love to experience again.
I doubt they're following Covid-19 protocols. Cutlery was dirty and looks very old, basin (sink) looks ugly, the tap makes a noise, there was literally 20 ml dishwashing liquid, basically most of the kitchenware looks disgusting. The shower's handle falls off when you want to turn on the tap, the bathroom basin does not drain water. Toilet roll was on its last. There was no hand wash or soap. No WiFi password was given. We've been to much more satisfying, neat cottages and guest houses before for the same value. Just thought we'll try out Tranquility. Anyway, besides the above mentioned, the place is quiet and secured. The bedding was neat.

I went to Cape Town for job training. The room was very comfortable. It is quite sufficient if one goes for a business trip. It would even be nice if one would check in as a family. There is full DStv and WiFi. It is centrally located and the room has a beautiful view.
Tranquility is located in nice, quite, residential area of Cape Town (Avondale). In walking distance from small mall and few groceries shops, ca. 10 km from the international airport. The rooms are comfortable and suitable for 1-2 persons. Equipped in basics items (stove, cupboards, microwave, bed, table and some chairs, bathroom towels) to make the stay pleasant. Even a longer stay. Each room has it's own small bathroom. The rooms are cleaned once week (if you stay longer) or after guests departure. The price per night is average for the area and adequate to the service provided. If necessary you can always contact the owner.
The price is very reasonable and the unit was very neat. I also like all the doors and windows because you could cool the place down quickly. The reception was also cordial and Henz communicates very well.
Value for money, only the kitchen faucet needs repair or replacement.
When we checked in, the room's beds were freshly made and very clean. Room smelled bad of cigarette smoke which was bad for us. Fan not very effective. Rest was perfect.

Very quiet, I was just disappointed when I came there and the gate was locked, we were shouting but no one opened, my partner had to jump over the gate and one of the residents opened for us, other than that I have no problem with the place, it was a very nice weekend.

We have been using your services regularly since the inception of the website, with great success and satisfaction! This was the first time we were disappointed in accommodation offered by you. We feel very strongly that Tranquility does not meet the website's good standard! This should not be on your list! First, I found Tranquility below Plattekloof, and it is definitely not located there. Reception on arrival was not welcoming at all and parking too small for our car. We had to find co-guests to move his car, so we could both get in and out of our cars. Our room was not up to standard at all. The shower's water was ice cold when we wanted to shower and there were no hot water taps in the sink of bathroom nor kitchen - have to boil kettle for shaving water and dishes. The towel rail had been broken off and was lying on the floor, there was no toilet paper holder (and the cardboard roll of toilet paper had fallen out - therefore of poor quality) and when the shower tap turned on you were standing with it in your hand! The bed's duvets were very poor - the inside kept shifting to one side, with the result that one person was lying with a thin cloth and the other person with a bunched-up stuffing on him. The electricity connection is a dangerous bundle of wires. The door does not close properly, with the result that neighbors' barbecue smoke entered our room, along with a cold draft. The cloths and cleaning supplies were lying around, so there was an effort to clean, although I washed all the crockery, cutlery and cups before use, as it seemed questionable. Without a doubt the worst accommodation we have ever experienced.
My son had 2 wrestling competitions. We were located very close to the Velodrome, and had an absolutely wonderful stay. I would recommend the guest house to anyone.
The reception from us was not lasting. The sleeping place was not comfortable. Would not recommend it.
