The house is very neat and has everything you need. It sits behind the main house but is very private and we could come and go as we pleased.
Wynand sent photos in advance with clear information - amazing, this has never happened before. The finish in the apartment is professional, well planned and thoroughly executed with a feeling of luxury, and the shower - from another world!
The cottage was truly beautiful and very comfortable. Walking distance to shops was a bonus.
Wynand and family were very friendly and helped if there were any problems. Cottage is very comfortable, and the gas stove is always a winner during load shedding. We really enjoyed our time there, and will definitely stay there again.

We stayed here for 5 days with our 3 year old and 8 year old children and were just so comfortable! Spacious, clean, private and equipped with everything one would need. Really appreciated the extra details and treats like washing powder, laundry thread, washing machine, milk in the fridge, spices and oil in the cupboard and extra towels and soap in the shower. The spacious and private little garden with a braai and nice patio was really nice for the children, plus of course the WiFi and DStv helped a lot. The host was so hospitable and we will definitely book here again and again.

What I needed was at hand. The host was always available and the DStv was fully available and not just a limited portion not. I think that the host goes that extra mile. I have always used another guest house, but this was an upgrade for me.

Lovely, clean and spacious home. Private garden for small children to play in. Affordable and great value for money. We found the only concern was that our 2 year old kept wanting to fiddle with the gas stove in the kitchen, but other than that everything 100 percent perfect. Vehicle parking behind high gate. New free standing 2 roomed well-equipped cottage behind main dwelling. Within walking distance of a Spar and independent superette. One block from R62 out of town. Very quiet area. Safe off-street parking behind locked gate. Free WiFi and DStv. Definitely a place to stay in Oudtshoorn. Value for money.
Als is clean, tidy and comfortable. No matter if you stay one day or two weeks, every comfort is there. Secure parking is a bonus. We were received very kindly.

Van Biljon Cottage is second on my list of top accommodation (a beach front house is on the very top of my list). When you open the door of the cottage for the first time, you'll be speechless. There's not better equipped kitchen anywhere else. It's like you're home. The shower is an experience! We're from the Karoo and hate to feel trapped, but here's enough space for everyone. A beautiful little garden with grass and chairs to enjoy the fresh air. The area is quiet, peaceful and safe, and the owners are very friendly. Everything is super clean and neat and nothing was missing. From a iron and ironing board, to all TV channels and free Wi-Fi. I recommend van Biljon Cottage to everyone who wants or have to stay in Oudtshoorn.
This is a very neat guest house and very comfortable. Everything still looks new. The service was very good. Wynand sent us more clothes that I had forgotten via Postnet. All I missed was an air conditioner for Oudtshoorn's January heat.
