Villa del Mar was a wonderful experience for us. The house was bigger and nicer than we expected, and had a great flow. The house was modern and the pool, jacuzzi and electronic media facilities were great. Halfway through our stay the owner contacted us to see if everything was ok on our end, which we really appreciated. We would highly recommend the house.

We had a very enjoyable stay. The owner was exceptionally accommodating, and the process was effortless.

"We had a lovely weekend at Villa Del Mar. There were one or two snags, but Laurence was great and responded immediately."

The cleaning service did not provide toilet rolls in the house, but Laurence has undertaken to speak to them about this. He has also agreed to attend to the Jacuzzi which did not reach optimum temperature. It would also be helpful if there were a few more cleaning aids in the kitchen - perhaps a mop and some good quality washing up liquid.

The outdoor lights where the pool and jaccuzzi are situated do not work, so we hardly sat outside at night because it was way too dark. Too little dirt bags and toilet rolls were given for the number of days we had booked for. There is an alarm that was very complicated. The jaccuzzi wasn't heating up, I contacted the landlord and a video was sent, and we eventually got it right. The main heated pool was cold for the 4 days we spent there. We received a long email after payments had been made with rules and regulations which some I was okay with and others that were not to my liking.

Nice modern place, great facilities and good communication. Would definitely recommend, large kitchen, indoor grill, pool and jacuzzi were winners.

"From the beginning when the owner mixed up the booking dates and we had to check in a day late, this experience was a disaster."

The owner confirmed with website our change of dates but the day before when he sent an sms I realised he had us checking in a day late. The address on the website says 122 Disa Road but the house is at 3996 Disa Road. I had to request a location. The house is nice but had not been cleaned properly. There were no cleaning products available, an old mop and no bucket to use with the mop. 1 toilet roll per toilet and 6 dishwasher tabs for 8 people - 6 days. The first evening the gas ran out while I was cooking dinner with food on the stove. When I messaged the owner he said he would come and check in the morning. When I replied that I was cooking dinner his reply was "Excuse me!". The spa pool went green and the outside rubbish bin was so full that we had nowhere to put our rubbish bags. When I messaged the owner his reply was sorry the house is not serviced and that we have to buy our own cleaning products. The day before check out was stage 6 loadshedding and the morning of check out the power was off until 8am. It was impossible to check out by 10am and get all of the dishes done, house cleaned and packed. The owner complained that I had not requested a late check out and sent harassing messages while we were busy trying to pack and clean up. I would not recommend this house to anyone wanting a hassle free holiday. Most of the the kitchen things are either broken or missing parts, the inside and outside furniture is stained and the neighbours were partying until the early hours of the morning.

"Tranquil, such a spoil to just get away from the hustle and buzz of the city."

The house was big and spacious, very tech savvy. There is more than enough space for 8 people. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub and the property was safe for our small dog.

From the moment you walk into the spacious house with it's stackable doors that open up to the pool and jacuzzi area, you start to feel relaxed. All the rooms are spacious and can easily accommodate a large group. I thoroughly enjoyed the choice of the various coffee machines which turned out a big hit in the mornings. The host, Lawrence, was friendly and we will definitely be going back.

The owner of Villa del Mar received us very well. Laurence is a fantastic host, we will definitely visit the Villa again. He is always available and very accommodating. The house is awesome, the weather just didn't cooperate so we could use the pool. Everything was just awsome, more than we expected. Thanks again Laurence we'll see you again soon.

The house is perfect for a winter or summer getaway and a bonus that pets are allowed. We will definitely be going back.

What a wonderful short vacation this house gave us. So much so, that we hardly wanted to leave the house. We were 7 friends and family together and everyone is still talking about the house. Nice swimming and the hot tub is definitely that extra added touch. And the most beautiful. Sunset from both balconies. Lawrence, thank you very much for your hospitality and top quality service. Nothing was a problem for you to sort out, no matter how small. We will definitely be back again! 10 out of 10!

Maybe a canopy could be added to the Jacuzzi so that if it rains you can always use the Jacuzzi, otherwise I would recommend the place to anyone, everything is there and very comfortable, fantastic vacation spot.

We had a wonderful stay at Casa del Mar. Beautiful appliances, especially the coffee machine. The jacuzzi was really so relaxing with top quality jets. The overall place was very well equipped with very comfortable beds. Lots of space for a large group. We experienced load shedding and Lawrence immediately helped us out and ensured we had sufficient lighting. Fantastic host. The house is one road away from the beach and the penguin colony is less than 300m away. A absolute must see. I highly recommend this accommodation in Betty's bay. 5/5 rating.

Super chilled and close to the beach. The house is beautiful and has everything you need and more. Our hosts were super and we will definitley be back for a nother stay! Highly recommended!

"Everything and more"

Upon our arrival at the holiday home we were pleasantly surprised. It delivered everything it promised and more. The house was very neat and spacious with more than enough space for a nice visit and relaxing. The Jacuzzi was definitely one of our favorite places to relax. A canopy over the Jacuzzi could perhaps be considered, so that one can still use it, even if it rains, as was the case with us. The access to Netflix and DStv Now was also a nice bonus (and you could watch TV while still being able to see and hear the sea through the sliding balcony door). Not only was the kitchen fully equipped, but the following was also provided: coffee, tea and sugar (a Nespresso machine and coffee machine, the latter of which was filled with coffee beans), cleaning products, washing machine with washing powder and a dishwasher. The 3 bathrooms were provided with towels, toilet paper and hand sanitizer. The host was especially very hospitable and accommodating and we could contact him via WhatsApp at any time with questions or issues. The only issue we had was the WiFi which gave some problems on the Saturday (don't know if the weather might have played a role). In summary, we, as a family, had a great time and would definitely recommend the holiday home to people who fancy a nice luxury getaway.
