Beds are weak, no glasses place looks neglected in general in room. No fridge, no milk, drain or water. Stinky toilet leaked. It fixed itself place where breakfast is served not clean at all.
Rooms in the old section desperately need an upgrade, particularly the bathroom. The old-fashioned, rather useless door lock should be replaced. The balcony offers a lovely view.
We had a very nice stay. Very central. Food is very nice.
The water had a sewerage smell. The water pressure and the hot water was inconsistent.

The staff at Villa Paradiso are very friendly and helped us a lot with what there is to do in Harties. The food is top notch and will definitely visit again.
Rooms are neat, service is up to standard, located close to all tourist attractions.
The shower area is dirty (mildew). The headboard of the bed is dirty. The air conditioning makes terrible noise. The other guests make noise until 2 in the morning. No chair or bench in the room. Curtains not hooked.
Shower smells of sewerage and bathroom fittings and tiles are old and broken.
There were noisy guests returning from the wedding venue during the night with no consideration for other guests. It would be nice if there could be a bar fridge in the room. Thanks for an aircon or else it would be too hot in the room.

TV and DStv channels need urgent attention. Nothing to watch and quality of TV very bad. Both rooms urgently attention needed to shower bad quality shower heads in rooms.
Beds very short, not very clean.
It's a beautiful place just like the photos show. But unfortunately my husband and I only got 6 hours of sleep because of other guests outside their rooms, talking loudly in the corridors, shouting and laughing without anyone coming to silence them.
The venue looks OK. Just the rooms are not the same as being shown on the website. The equipment looks old. They should consider changing the mats and curtains as they were not comfortable to look and stand on. We ended up pushing the mats under the bed so we don't see them. The pool is so small and green - not pleasing.
Wanted some Cappuccino's at the restaurant, but it could not be provided.
The only problem I had was I felt for that kind of money they could have had better TV channels, and the drain by the sink in the bathroom smelled bad. But otherwise it was very pleasant, clean and tidy, and the staff is very helpful, the food is very tasty.
Harties offers a lot to do and the accommodation is very central. We slept well.
The tiles on the stairs and corridor on the way to the room gave a very bad impression of being neglected. There were cobwebs in the bathroom en suite to the room and there were also cobwebs on the balcony at the restaurant where we sat and ate. The hair dryer did not have a plug and when it arrived it was terribly dirty and creepy to touch. We were on our way to a wedding. The hair dryer overheated and cut out and I couldn't style my hair to make it to the wedding on time. I assumed the price included breakfast, but this was not the case we were told. I also would have liked to have been closer to the pool, as per my request when I booked.

The water was not clean, it was smelly. We get that it was most probably dam water. The restaurant upstairs had little to no service, we had to go eat elsewhere on the evening. These areas need improving.
The rooms have no bar fridges and outside temperatures were around 34 degrees celsius so we could not have cold water to drink. Cooler boxes are not allowed in the rooms. I had a 12 month old baby so I also needed at least a microwave to prepare his meals and there was none that I could access.

The only issue I had is that there was clear notifications everywhere that no cooler boxes were allowed, and that you were not allowed to bring your own liquor. On Saturday however a large group of people were having a party at the swimming pool with three cooler boxes with alcohol. The party became very load! Our room was right next to the pool area, and we eventually decided to rather go home, because the noise was just to much and people were fighting in the room above us, and we could hear every word. I think they should have better management on this aspect.
Restaurant is closed, no own food or drinks are supposed to be taken to the room. It does not make sense.

I cannot recommend Villa Paradiso under any circumstances. From day 1 there were problems. On our arrival the bill for the outstanding amount was incorrect. The room did not have remote controls for the air conditioning or the TV. They did sort out the aircon remote control straight away but after 3 days and asking every day for the remote control for the TV I later gave up asking because you are promised 1 every day but you never get it. There was also no advance communication that the restaurant and bar on the premises were closed over Christmas. We got to the room one night when the door was not locked after housekeeping cleaned the room. The lady on duty at reception's excuse was that they are very busy and things are a bit confused. We had to wait 1 night until 11 o'clock before we could take a shower, because there was no water. We reported it at 9 PM and was told that maintenance would sort it out within 30 min. After the promised 30 min I reported it again and again I was told in 15 min there will be water. I then went to see the 15 min where the people were working on the water to hear what was going on. All I get then is the security guard and the night manager trying to sort out the water because maintenance has already been home at 5 PM and they haven't turned the pumps back on after the power went out earlier in the day. From there we had water problems every morning and in the evenings the water pressure was weak to non-existent. My wife took her own pillow, housekeeping decided there were too many pillows in the room and removed her pillow. We reported it and they then installed a pillow there that is so old you can't even call it a pillow. We reported it again and until today 8 Jan 2020 more than a week after we were there we have not heard anything from them again. Villa Paradiso markets themselves as a 4-star hotel with DStv channels. Absolute bullshit. The TV barely catches SABC 1, 2, and 3 and then there is an E channel and 1 sports channel. The TV also dates from the 1990s. I have stayed in other lower star accommodation that have better channels with better service. The room does not have a small fridge in it. For a 4 star hotel you get Ricoffy to drink. They also boast that their gardens are beautiful. Nonsense, if you enter in front of the main gate the gardens are well maintained. The rest of the gardens and especially by the pool you could see the grass has not been cut in the last 2 weeks and the grass is growing out of the pots by the pool. The cushions on the garden set's chairs are so old and dirty that it is more comfortable and safer to just sit on the set without the cushions. We are 2 people in the room, housekeeping leaves us 1 bath towel and 2 hand towels. At the end of the day, we checked out a day earlier, because when we didn't have water for the 4th night in a row, we decided it was enough, we'd better go. I don't know who gave them a 4 star rating, but the person and the owners of Villa Paradiso clearly do not know the standards of a 4 star hotel. I would not recommend Villa Paradiso and would never go there again even if I was paid to stay there.
My expectations were met.
Friendly and comfortable.
We were very disappointed in the accommodation, it was neglected, dirty and poor quality service. From the cracks in the walls, the dirty toilet marks and 20 cm computer screen for a TV ─ we expected more for the price we paid. The restaurant kept getting my order wrong and the breakfast was also below standard. There was no power or water on Sunday morning, and other guests had to go and ask 3 times if they were working on the problem, had feedback, or had a generator. It sounded like the staff didn't even know their guests were without power or water. The photos online unfortunately create the wrong perception.
Rooms are not that clean, especially under the beds. You need new paintings and have some activities during the night. Secondly one cannot choose what kind of breakfast you want ─ that needs to be changed. Other than that, everything is fine. Would also like to have room service when we want and have breakfast in bed or supper in our room.
Had good time throughout the stay. I will come back again.

The room was uncomfortable and unpleasantly cold, because no sun and cement floors. The aircon provided only extra wind and no heat. There is also a need for a table or something for a case to work from. For the price one pays, I would really only expect a better instant coffee option than Ricoffee in the room. I am disappointed in my expectation.

The units were very pleasant. We did feel that for the price we could have gotten better toilet paper. We also did not have hot water in the shower after one person showered. We were also a little disappointed with the fact that we couldn't use the restaurant on our own time because we had to book and didn't know it. However, we can confidently recommend the place, especially for people who love beer and gin.
Place is well located with beautiful views. Rooms are quite small. Guests can sometimes be noisy. The restaurant and bar area is very nice with nice views. Hospitality is very nice. Will stay there again on motorcycle trip. The price is a bit expensive for just staying over.
I would definitely recommend Villa Paradiso Country Manor to friends and family. I would come back again and live there for many days.
The breakfast was poor, the customer service was poor and there was little service given to the guests. The rooms had a lot of mosquitoes which made sleeping a problem.
Poor service on arrival. Permission asked for nothing. Bed broken. Pool is not as advertised.
We arrived after 9. Welcoming wasn't nice. We wanted to order a pizza and the worker was prepared to make one for us, but the manager then, seems to me, decided that the kitchen was closed. It was also very noisy Friday evening. Will not stay here again and also not recommend it.
The Black Fox's food was wonderful and the atmosphere is fantastic.
Daar was geen beheer oor die mense wat by die swembad partytjie gehou het Saterdagmiddag nie en hulle het vreeslik geraas. Die water in ons eenheid het gevrot na riool. Ek het dit by Kaygee aangemeld Sondagoggend. Daar was nie 'n afstandbeheer vir die TV in ons kamer met aankoms nie. Lettie was baie behulpsaam om ons raserige bure 20:30 die aand stil te kom maak nadat hulle harde musiek gespeel het, buitengewoon hard gepraat en gesing het. Die koffie in die flesse by ontbyt was koud.

Kamer baie eenvoudig. Koffie was glad nie lekker nie. Televisie is maar baie outdated vir 'n 3-ster-plek. 'n kennisgewing vooraf sou waardeer word dat die restaurant en Gin Bar albei gesluit sou wees die Saterdag. Vriendelike diens.

I booked a room with a king size bed, which we did not get. The water pressure was very poor and could not regulate the shower, it was either freezing cold or very hot. Was rather disappointing.
Rooms are neat and tidy. Restaurant can be recommended. Environment is well cared for. In short it was a very satisfying experience and we will visit again.
Stay was pleasant, but for that amount one expects good quality linen, without holes. Our sheets had holes in them. Breakfast was also cold. Staff at the restaurant are friendly and provided prompt service.

Beautiful gardens and relaxed atmosphere. Rooms are comfortable enough. All the staff are very helpful, friendly and the service is excellent.
