Vindoux Guest Farm and Spa is nestled in the Tulbagh Valley, about 120 km from Cape Town. This family-owned working farm is set in the foothills of the Saronsberg Mountains, just outside the picturesque, historic town of Tulbagh.

The farm boasts 4 Tree Houses, a self-catering tree lodge and rustic self-catering Cottages that sleep 2 to 4 people. You can pre-order romantic turndowns with local MCC. Picnics and braai packages are available at an additional fee. Guests can rent a bike to explore the neighbouring wine farms and do gin tastings on Saturdays. The property has a beautiful swimming pool.

A visit to our farm is not complete without treating yourself to a pamper session at the spa with natural, Fynbos-inspired spa therapies including couples treatments and pregnancy massage.

"Comfortable, friendly, safe, well located."

Reception was very friendly and helpful, the accommodation was neat and clean and everything worked well, despite the power outage that occurred due to the weather. We can highly recommend the Gin Tasting.

Our stay was great. The location of Vindoux Guest Farm & Spa is very central. One has all the amenities at the cottage. The gin tasting on a Saturday afternoon is very nearby. The staff are friendly.

We had such a great time staying in the self-catering treehouse and the swimming pool and braai area outside definitely contributed to that. The house is nice and spacious and has stacking doors and windows that slide open and offer a beautiful view of the mountain. We also rented the bikes on site and had fun exploring the area.

It was good, but the house needs improvements. The shower dam is up. Take out the bathtub and replace it with a shower. The house next to Tassies' yard looks bad.

The view from our treehouse at Vindoux Guest Farm & Spa was absolutely exquisite. The aircon helped a lot in the heat. We enjoyed the clean pool and braai spot, oh and the bath with the jets was magical! The breakfast was delicious and perfectly cooked. Last but not least, the springboks and zebra were the highlight of our stay, and that you had board games we could play. Thank you!

"Beautiful place where you can charge your batteries."

What a beautiful place, where you can just kick off your shoes and relax. We were there on New Year's weekend and it was incredibly hot. Wasn't really in the mood for many activities. Was able to cool off in the massive pool. The room with its view of the mountains and springboks running under the treehouse, but you feel you are part of nature. Breakfast is delicious and the quantity very generous. We also went to the spa and it was just such a lovely experience.

Nice stay. Just know if you like to barbecue, that you have to carry everything up and down from outside. Because it is a treehouse, the starlings also nested in the roof - teenager had to sleep in the living room instead because of the noise, but did enjoy sleeping on the sleeper couch! And if the wind is blowing or loadshedding, then the WiFi is obviously not so good on the farm.

We had a really nice stay, the place is peaceful and quiet and makes it the best getaway spot. Lots of things to do around the place. The staff are friendly and go the extra mile to make sure you can enjoy every moment for the time you are there. It's very private which makes it very nice.

We spent two nights in a treehouse. We had four meals delivered to our room, and each one was fantastic. Portions were overly generous and of exceptional quality. We also made use of the spa and were spoiled by the staff.

My stay was only for two days, a safe little house with great service. I was mistaken with my long way and had the check-in time wrong for the weekend, but the lady would make arrangements for my later check-in, but at least I was only 10 minutes late and she was waiting especially for me. Very nicely located just outside Tulbagh so I could easily explore the area - even to the Paarl and back.

It's a nice place for a getaway weekend, they must just get a TV also in the cottages, also make sure that the firewood is dry as we had to drive out to go buy dry wood. Otherwise, it was nice, private and peaceful.

"Was very nice to spend the night there, during the day it was just very hot and an air conditioner would have been more appropriate."

Our visit was for a wedding in the area and spent little time in the unit precisely because other facilities we visited had air conditioners and were more acceptable. So, actually spent very little time there to really be able to give accommodation feedback. The two bedside lamps both have loose connections and were a problem to get back on after the lamp moved. Thank you very much. PS: The car park under the bougainvillea creeper was not used because the space was tight and the plant needed a trim.

We were surprised with sparkling wine and rose petals on the bed. We enjoyed everything ─ the spa in particular was a highlight. The ladies there each deserve a medal. We were a bit disappointed that we saw few birds. We are birdwatchers, and if birdwatching is advertised, one might expect too much. There are many birds, but not a lookout point. Furthermore, the service and friendliness of everyone was wonderful - the pool was blissful and clean.

A great place to stay. Really nicely set out with your own little cottage. The right amenities and the pool and viewing deck are perfect for a nice summers day. My only suggestion is to replace the shower heads as they don’t do a great job. But otherwise it was exactly what we needed!

Tulbagh is a very nice village and Vindoux was also a nice place. You are welcomed by dogs and cats and a peaceful atmosphere on the farm. We stayed in Chardonnay Cottage with the Spa Bath (note, it's just a corner bath with jets, not a Jacuzzi). We enjoyed the stay, but next time we will bring our own pillows, the beds are not the most comfortable.

The luxury tree house was perfectly located overlooking the wildlife and mountains. Crisp, fresh mountain breezes kept the heat at bay, friendly staff provided tasty breakfasts and delicious meals. It was peaceful and quiet, in the evenings you close your eyes and all you hear are the crickets and frogs, and now and again the sorting of the lone zebra. A long weekend of just relaxing and walking through the orchards and organic veggie gardens, the perfect place to unwind and just do nothing.

It was our third time at Vindaux, and this time we brought friends along. Murphy's law - It was quite embarrassing, as we were so excited to brag about Vindaux, as we always enjoy our stay there. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the kettle was not up to par and the shower head appeared to be clogged, and barely any water came out. The shower was in the room our friends occupied. We will definitief return to Vindaux, but wish for a better experience next time.

What a lovely stay! We rented a Tree house (number 2 specifically) and loved it. The room is unique, the bath amazing and the view of the farm amazing. The food is delivered to the room, which is ideal as the balcony is cosy and has a great view. I would recommend the picnic as you have an opportunity to walk around on the farm and explore. The spa has a great indoor Jacuzzi.

We stayed in the Pinotage cottage - it was clean and well equipped. Staff was very friendly, the meals were excellent, even the firewood for the braai was ready, when we arrived.

It was very hot and the self-catering units have no air conditioning. They can invest in it.

It was very nice there, very nice equipped, their spa treatment was a must have, I did a hot stone full body message, it was so nice and I didn't want it to stop. So it feels a bit pricey but the visit there makes it better and I love the fact that there is so much equipment that you can use, from hairdryers to irons and more. I will definitely go back.

The cottage is well equipped and was fenced. Great for our 2 small dogs to frolic and explore in the garden. We had a great time relaxing in the pool and enjoying the wild animals in the camp! The tranquility is fantastic for anyone looking to recharge their batteries.

Cabernet and Pinotage are both 1-bedroom, self-catering cottages. Each cottage has a bedroom with a double bed and the en-suite bathroom fitted with a corner bath and a shower. These units also each comprises a well-equipped kitchen, fireplace, as well as outside braai facilities. The kitchen features a stove, oven, fridge, kettle and toaster. Pinotage is pet friendly with an enclosed garden (pets at an extra charge, please enquire when booking).
