Beautiful surroundings and real 'farm feel'. Quiet and peaceful.
The cottage was very neat, peaceful and definitely a recommendation for any couple who wants to escape from the city.
We had a wonderful stay. The surroundings with the mountains and vineyards are breathtakingly beautiful! It was the ideal environment to unwind. There are also plenty of activities to keep you busy if you prefer. The place where we stayed was fully equipped with everything you could think of: plunger, sharp knives, hooks for dishcloths and towels, wall plugs and 2 boilers (in case of load shedding). We were also spoiled with apples and Easter eggs.
We had a great time! The loft was very spacious with all the basic necessities there. The silence is wonderful and the view is breathtaking!

We looked for a place near Aldene's Flowers and found much more than we expected. Vredehoek has a 360% mountain view, between fynbos, vineyards and orchards. It is simply beautiful. The house is very spacious and has absolutely everything you could possibly need. Quiet too.

We felt safe walking around on the farm. We were impressed by the many vineyards and flowers. When the light fused, I contacted the manageress and it was immediately attended to. She did it herself. I was impressed by her attitude to get the job done.

What a lovely weekend at this peaceful farm. Everything was fantastic. Can recommend with great love if you want to relax in nature.
The Cottages have everything you could possibly need. We were there with a cold front and the snow was beautiful on the mountains while the cottage was well equipped for the winter.

We stayed for three nights in Ruby Cabernet and Sauvignon Blanc with our kids and friends. The area is amazingly beautiful with nice hiking trails. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and very comfortable while it was absolutely freezing outside. Luca looked after us and made sure we had everything we needed. We all agreed to come back in the summer again.
Although it was cold outside, the fireplace really made a wonderful difference to our stay while taking in the great views of the valley, mountains, and vineyards.

Nature is definitely what one needs to come back to one's senses. And then the house is so well equipped that you only have to pack clothes and food.
Cottage spacious for two people with everything you need. The free bottle of red wine was a nice treat. The goodie box was a winner where you could buy extra wine, salad, rusks and olives. Esmare very helpful.

My husband and I wanted a weekend getaway to a quiet and peaceful place and we got it here. Although it rained from Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning before we left, and the wind didn't cooperate, we really enjoyed our stay. Forelle Loft is perfect for a couple who wants to be alone and just get away from everything and everyone. The views are amazing from the Loft and it's really fantastic. The place is clean with everything you need. Although we only stayed for 2 days, a longer stay would be just as fantastic.
A substantial house, not simple overnight cottage, that is very well equipped and has fantastic views across the valley and of the mountains. Nice walks up the mountain.

Beautiful property that is very clean, it rained a lot during our visit and I would not suggest booking there if you are driving a low vehicle. These are dirt roads up the mountain which are very steep, but for someone with a tall vehicle it is definitely worth it.

The photos do not do the farm justice and especially not the house. We stayed in Royal Gala and the house was big, more than enough for 2 of us and can easily accommodate 4 to 6 people. We had a list of activities we wanted to do in the Valley, but ended up just sitting on the porch all day and appreciating the views. The farm has all kinds of activities and it's only your own fault if you're bored. Highly recommended and we will be back for sure!

Vredehoek Gastehuis is truly something special. The guest house is luxurious, very spacious and equipped with only the best. The view is breathtaking. It was wonderful to see our friends from KwaZulu-Natal take their breath away when they saw the view from the veranda for the first time. We thoroughly enjoyed the hiking trails and I can't wait to do the river trail once it's done. We were here for a wedding in the area and have to say that we chose by far the best place.
