The Bush Lodge can accommodate up to 20 guests in 10 thatched chalets. Each unit is comfortably furnished, with private wooden decks, luxury en-suite bathrooms and semi-outdoor showers.
The lodge offers 2 sparkling pools set in lush, inviting locations. In addition, guests can enjoy African-style dining in a traditional hut-shaped dining area, sip on a good glass of wine in our convivial boma, or enjoy the company of friends and family around a roaring hardwood fire pit. There are no technological distractions such as TVs.
Escape the city and get closer to nature. The lodge offers guests the opportunity to enjoy a range of outdoor activities, including hiking, swimming, trail running and mountain biking in the Magaliesburg.
Guests can also book activities at the renowned African Hills Safari Lodge and Spa.

It was just a bit disappointing that the management allowed a group of young men to party and play very loud music until 02h00 in the morning, until the load shedding put a stop to it. They disrupted everyone around them. This lodge boasts about how they encourage peace, quiet and tranquility by not having any TVs on site, but then allow this ridiculous behaviour. Very contradictory.
Very good except for 1st night when other guests were playing a radio loudly for several hours and lodge employees did not intervene.
I had the pleasure of staying at Warthogs Bush Lodge for a night, and it was an exceptional experience. The room was spacious and comfortable, offering a great night's sleep, while the beautiful scenery outside my window added to the overall charm. The staff at Warthogs Bush Lodge were incredibly helpful and friendly, making me feel truly welcome. What stood out the most was the tranquil atmosphere, allowing me to unwind and escape the daily grind. I highly recommend Warthogs Bush Lodge for a relaxing and memorable stay.
Great breakfast, nice and quiet, great boma in the evenings and meeting other couples / people. Went for 2 walks, nice views and quiet area. Restaurant food was quite good, basic but good.

The surroundings are very beautiful, although the lodge needs maintenance. The linen is old and thin and the unit looks different in the photos than in reality. Also be aware that there is not a private braai area for guests and that all guests braai in one place. Unfortunately, it did not offer us a peaceful barbecue and eating experience at all, because there was multi-cultural music and conversations around one boma. The camping area was noisy and we did not enjoy woodland silence by any means.

They might just say parking is not at chalets, luggage must be carried to chalets.
We had a lovely overnight stay at Warthogs Lodge and would definitely return for a longer stay. It would be recommended that some upgrades be done at the room, a fresh coat of paint inside and some fresh curtains will freshen up the look. The electrical plugs where a bit sticky to use and the side lamp on the table did not work. the kitchen drawer lost a knob. Huge bed and was very comfortable. No condiments were available except salt & pepper at breakfast - we were advised it was finished. We will definitely come back for another stay.
We had a great stay, the best customer service ever. Vusi was great, consistent and always happy to serve us. You have a great team there.
Too many random and uneven steps without handrails. Staff were pleasant, food acceptable. Why we were put in a rondavel that was so difficult to access with our suitcases, when the place was empty, is a mystery. Suggest put anyone over 50 in a rondavel they can wheel their luggage to. And access without climbing unprotected stairs. Especially after they have traveled all day.
The area is beautiful.
Love the tranquility, cleanness, friendly staff and the gathering at the boma was superb.
No lights, mud everywhere, no power, tents leaking, shower didn't have a door, toilet lid is loose, the door won't stay closed. Tents leak. No lights.
Hulle is so gasvry en ons voorsien van alles wat ons nodig het. Sal beslis terug wees.
