The Merlot Room comprises a double bed and an en-suite bathroom with a spacious shower, toilet and washbasin. It also offers a private entrance.
The Chenin Duette is a 2-bedroomed unit with a king-size bed in the main bedroom and 2 single beds in the second bedroom. The second bedroom has an off-suite, private bathroom. Both rooms have air conditioning.
The Cap Classique Suite has a king-size bed, seating area, dressing room and en-suite bathroom. Amenities include a desk, fridge and air-conditioning.
There is a swimming pool guests can make use of but is not ideal for non-swimmers as the pool is not covered or fenced. Wellington Country House Guesthouse takes no responsibility for those making use of the pool.
Guests are afforded secure parking for vehicles on the property. The house is 1.8 km from all amenities including restaurants, shops, hiking- and mountain biking trails. The hosts will be happy to educate guests on the area and all the activities that can be done.
Picnic trips to the Ceres-Karoo and Bainskloof are available. Please discuss it. before.
Cheese-making workshops are offered by appointment and here feta, halloumi and ricotta are made.

Great location for visiting the wine route
Wonderful location, so next to the vineyards and the mountains with us. Nice quiet and peaceful. Mara couldn't do enough to make us feel welcome and at home.
To stay at Wellington Country House was an extraordinary experience. The room is very spacious, neat and modern. The property borders a vineyard and it is the best of both worlds. The breakfast was very special, nicely decorated and very tasty. The 2 mornings were also different. Mara's attention to detail is striking. I can boldly recommend this guesthouse.

There is no shortage at this guest house. It was all the little things that made the stay pleasant as well as the owner's hospitality. We enjoyed the stay very much. The view from the balcony was breathtaking and can definitely recommend it to anyone.

I would recommend the Wellington Country House anytime and would stay there again ourselves. It was nice and quiet.
We only slept at Wellington Country House for one night. The guesthouse is on the edge of the town, with a lovely view of the vines and mountains. Mara spoiled us with wine and fruits when we arrived. The room and bathroom was neat and had everything we needed. Everything in the bathroom worked. We were extremely impressed with the breakfast. There was more than enough and something different than just the usual. We will recommend staying at Mara and her friendly staff anytime.
The photos are a bit deceiving. The view from the balcony is lovely, but you can't access the vineyards. I requested dinner, bed and breakfast, but was told they didn't really do that. That being said, the host put a Woolies meal in the oven for my husband and friend who had just finished the Munga (a mountain bike race) which is not part of the offering. The banana puffs we had for breakfast were amazing, but breakfast was disappointing overall.

My boyfriend and I were invited to a wedding that took place at Bakenhof. We wanted to sleep somewhere for the night and absolutely loved this guest house. The location is very nice, 10 minutes drive (if that much) to the venue. Very neat place. We had towels, coffee, tea, a hairdryer, warm blanket and lots of storage space! There was also a delicious, healthy breakfast on offer. Will definitely come back again if we are in the area.

This should be a bed and breakfast not a guesthouse. The constant hovering from the owner is unpleasant. A sense of privacy is lacking and for the amount of money you pay for the accommodation (2 nights/6 adults R5300) you should at least be granted that. Too many restrictions for adults to be comfortable.
We were fully informed in advance about location, routes and things to do in Wellington. Received very kindly and shown the ropes. Delicious breakfasts and leaving as friends.

Mara from Wellington Guesthouse treated us to a warm welcome. She went out of her way to make us feel welcome and at home. She even unlocked the door for us in the ice cold wee hours after I left my keys in someone's car. Stunning guesthouse, warm atmosphere. Will definitely book again.
We visited family during the day and basically just slept there in the evenings but everything was convenient and clean. Parking can be a challenge when there are more guests.

The owner is unbelievably friendly and helpful. It wasn't clear on the advertisement that this was a guestroom in people's private room. Therefore the bathroom isn't en-suite and you have to walk down the corridor to get to the bathroom. The owner's private lounge is visible when you go in and out of the bathroom - very uncomfortable and not private.

We stayed at quite a few places this holiday and would recommend this place with an open heart. Our room was very neat and clean, it had air conditioning and the people are friendly and helpful. It was very safe and I could park my car in the garage. The view at the swimming pool is something special. Would definitely recommend it.
Your hospitality exceeded all our expectations, and we felt very much at home. Very neat accommodation and definitely value for money.
Feedback was prompt and thorough from the start. Aunt Mara and Uncle Dick were the most hospitable people. The accommodation was neat and comfortable with plenty to do. The view from the stoep is something to experience!
