We visited the cottage a few years back and loved it. Happily, it was just as lovely this time round! Really wonderful hosts and the cottage itself has everything you could possibly need. Great attention to detail!
Dennis and Mo gave us a warm welcome. The Cottage at Wild Almond is very well equipped. We really enjoyed the small pool!
Dennis welcomed us on our arrival at the cottage. All was explained. The cottage provided everything we could have hoped for. Was comfortable, convenient and beautifully decorated, even the lovely touch of fresh flowers in the bedrooms. The private veranda provided a perfect setting to enjoy meals, entertain friends and enjoy the beautiful garden. Inside the fireplace would have provided warmth and comfort had it been cold. I would love to return to this cottage. The proximity to a selection of good restaurants made it the perfect place to stay.
We had a wonderful weekend in McGregor, and the cottage at Wild Almond was an ideal and very comfortable place to stay. The cottage has thoughtful touches throughout. We enjoyed relaxing in the shade of the verandah and taking a dip in the pool. The cottage stayed cool while it raged 39 degrees outside. Definitely happy to return.

We stayed at The Annex for two nights over the weekend. The place was neat and fully equipped with everything we needed. I have stayed in McGregor myself on many occasions and this was by far the nicest place. Dennis, the host gave us a warm welcome. We cannot speak our experience well enough. Would definitely recommend the accommodation to anyone over and over again.

What a great weekend we had. Dennis welcomed us like family and made us at ease. This cottage have everything you need, comfortable and within walking distance of everything. We were informed about all the cosy restaurants by Dennis, which we really appreciated. This is the ideal break away from the city and for sure, a visit to Pintos in Robertson as suggested by Dennis is a must. To add, Dennis and Mo are the most awesome hosts. Strongly recommended for a visit and stay over.

Wild Almond is a gem. The moment you arrive you feel at ease and at home. The welcome on the blackboard and the local bottle of wine confirm this. Dennis is an excellent host. The cottage is beautiful and very well equipped. Safety is definitely a priority. There is lovely music composed for relaxation. Rest assured you will have a wonderful time at Wild Almond and want to go back again and again.

Wild Almond has everything you can think of, it has been very well thought out. I would only suggest you take the obvious food, black bags and cling-wrap. The cottage is spotless. The pool is gorgeous and very deep. The garden is lovely. Outdoor shower with hot & cold water. Luxurious and comfy beds. Nothing more you could want. It is our go to holiday place (next time with kids) and we are never disappointed in any way. Highly recommend. You will want to re-book as soon you leave.

Grandpa and Grandma came to visit with two grandchildren and were greeted with a burning fireplace and a bottle of wine. The owner is very hospitable and friendly. The house and garden are beautiful and I immediately fell in love with the place. The interior is tasteful and cozy. Flowers everywhere in the house. I was a little confused with all the beautiful things and the fussy grandchildren, but luckily everything worked out nicely. If we were to come to McGregor again, I would definitely stay here again. Thank you very much for making the experience so beautiful and pleasant.

Nice feeling, clean and everything is there in the house and it's neat.
Wild Almond is very centrally located and yet very private, quiet and peaceful. The garden and pool are beautiful and utilised making it ideal for a family with a small busy toddler. The cottage is beautiful and equipped with anything one could need, and the outdoor living area is wonderful.
We were kindly welcomed by Dennis who explained everything and then left us to enjoy Christmas time as a family. There are also files with information about the cottage, the town and the area if you want to know something more. The swimming pool is just big enough, the kitchen excellently equipped (we prepared our entire Christmas dinner here) and the WiFi was a nice surprise, as was the excellent collection of CDs, DVDs and books. One can also walk to town with peace of mind. One suggestion? The fan in the second bedroom makes a noise after a while and it is quite necessary to turn it on because there are quite a few mosquitoes. Furthermore, perfect!
We had such a wonderful time at Wild Almond and McGregor last year that that I decided to do it again this year for my birthday! Thank you Dennis and Mo for sharing your lovely cottage. What a beautiful cottage and village! It was the perfect place to celebrate my birthday. Thank you very much Dennis for your warm welcome and the delicious bottle of red wine with the birthday card. The place is beautiful inside and out with a lovely veranda to relax on. We will definitely visit there again - I enjoyed hearing the chickens and guinea fowls so much. The town's people are very friendly and there are lovely places to eat and things to do in and around the town. Definitely a winning recipe!

A very pretty cottage with beautiful furniture and accessories. Loved the outdoor area for afternoon lazying with a book or a snooze. Loved the little touches around the cottage. Easy walking distance to Karoux, the restaurant and the main street. Dennis has put together an excellent selection of music to listen to as well as a whole basket of movies to watch. Well worth a stay. If I have to be critical, I did miss the grass area from the photo. The pool was a blessing in the heat.
We loved our 2 day stay at Wild Almond Cottage! Crisp white linen, snow white towels and attention to detail in every little aspect. Will bring us back to this gem of a retreat.
We really enjoyed our time there. House is ideal for people who want to switch off and relax. Beautiful places closeby for you to visit. Nice reading material, DVD's etc. so you can keep yourself busy. A fireplace might be a good addition for the winter. We even used the swimming pool.
The house is small but beautifully furnished with great entertainment facilities (hundreds of DVD's, music, small dam, stoep). Everything very neat and stylish. Small welcome gifts (lavender in the toilet roll, chocolate o the bed, bottle of wine on the kitchen table). When we had car trouble Dennis was immediately there to help. It's lovely for two persons and maybe even 2 children.
Thank you for the lovely stay. We really enjoyed it and rested well.
