Great location with a lot of potential but unfortunately not clean. All the cutlery and glasses were greasy and the place needs a good cleaning. No extras like coffee, tea or milk. The minimum toilet paper is provided. Positive things are the beautiful view and silence. On a cold evening, the fireplace will be very nice. Also conveniently located at Sedgefield.
Was delicious. Just miss the braai on the stoep when it rains.

The dirt road to the cottage is extremely bad. It puts a damper on the experience. The cottage could have been cleaned better.

This is our second time staying at the Wild Fig Cottage and even seeing that gorgeous view for the second time, it is still gorgeous. The special little touches at this accommodation are amazing. Safe parking, towels and bedding provided, wood available at a cost for the fireplace, chairs to sit around the bonfire spot. We have a normal hatchback and it comfortably went up the hill. Everything was neat and clean. We would definitely be back.
We had a wonderful stay. Real 'gem' in the Garden Route. Privacy is a luxury. The environment is one of the most beautiful that our country can offer.

Absolutely stunning! The view from up there is breathtaking. Neat, clean, fully equipped place. Not DStv, but DVD. But with a view like that, you don't even want to see a TV. Slept well. Wish we could stay there for a week. There is wood for sale at the cottage. Braai facilities. Luxury. Can really highly recommend.

The cottage was easy to get to from the main road, but felt secluded on top of the hill overlooking the lake. It has a beautiful view from the inside and porch. Inside of the Cottage felt a bit small for four adults, cabinet drawers and bathroom window were a bit difficult to close, and the kitchen knives need sharpening. We were emailed very quickly after booking with instructions for arrival, so if you book far in advance just keep up with and remember that you have the email.

View was of a river that came to an end. It is not suitable for people who walk with a wheeled walking frame because uneven area.

We had a lovely stay in the cozy cottage. Waking up to have coffee with that view every morning was a treat. It would be even cozier with some soft indoor couches for on those cold nights when you have the fire going.

Everything works really well.
We had a great time at Wild Fig, but there are a few things that need urgent attention. The mattresses on the beds are thin and worn and the overall cleanliness is not up to standard. We were also here for a weekend in 2019, and couldn't wait to return, but were a bit disappointed. The location and the view are excellent!
Wish I could stay there every weekend, it's the best place and would go back anytime. The hostess was excellent and our stay was amazing.
We had a wonderful time. A warm welcome via Whatsapp and a personal goodbye by the owner. We will definitely want to go there again.
Arriving at Wild Fig We were amazed at the view, it was breathtaking. The accommodation looks exactly as the page advertises, it is clean and such a nice cottage, more than enough space for 4 people. We were very sad to leave as the evening stars we saw were such a highlight. All I can say is I am excited to go again. Keep up the amazing work Wild Fig.

We had a lovely stay, it had everything we needed. We had privacy and could rest, and was still close to the shop in case we needed anything. Natalie, who received us, was available for any questions, without making us feel like we were being watched. We enjoyed every moment of our time there!

Communication with host precise and on time. Reception and safety very good. We went to Sedgefield for a 90th birthday, had to unload before the party, found the Wild Fig Cottage very easy on google maps, upon arriving lights went on where our vehicle was parked and as it was dark outside we felt very safe. The cottage on the inside is well equipped and very neat. Wood available for a beautiful outside and inside fire to be made. Enjoyed every minute. Thank you very much.

Have a nice rest in a beautiful natural environment. Beautiful, practical accommodation with a view on your doorstep. Early on you hear an osprey calling. There are beautiful stars, a nice fireplace and barbecue. Lots to do in the area.
