106 guests' feedbackIt was good, but not easy on e-hailing services; requests for Uber took close to an hour. The owners need to do more inspections when it comes to cleanliness and preparation of breakfast. Under the bed, it was quite dirty. One of the ladies could not make an omelette; I tried to advise her, but it was a miss again the second day. I celebrated my birthday and was given a gift.
The service wasn't great. I waited 10 minutes for water at breakfast; eventually, I had to go get my own from the room. There were no gluten-free options for the R140pp breakfast, so I felt cheated. There was no espresso either, so it would be better to remove it from the menu. The accommodation, Wind-Rose Guest House, felt like a neglected guest house, with cobwebs and spiders everywhere. The treadmill in the gym was also faulty, and we waited in the lobby for 15 minutes before we could be helped to check out.
The Guest House is beautifully situated. Facilities are neat. Swimming pool is nice to cool off in. It is close to everything.
My partner and I had a much needed break, although it was 1 night. We had a lovely stay.
The only suggestion is to change TV set up, Chromecast is bit challenging especially when you want to watch a live game. Other than that it was very nice, we throughly enjoyed ourselves, was a bit short. We will definitely be back.

Guest rooms feel too close to each other.
It is a little confusing getting there. Google Maps takes you down very small, unnecessary dirt roads. All in all, we had a great stay.
The owners are very hospitable and helpful, even the staff are decent and respectful.
My fiance and I had an excellent time there and everything was top class. Just the fact that I am a paraplegic and the facilities were beyond my expectations. I will definitely visit them again in the future, although I will have to go for a longer time, because my time was so short and there is so much to enjoy about the place. Friendly greeting, check in was very simple. Very clean and tidy with a very nice garden. Even though it was fully booked it was still peaceful and calm and a nice place to relax. Fast WiFi was available throughout the premises with good mobile signal. Air conditioner and fan work well. Rooms are serviced daily. Fridge, kettle and microwave in the rooms. About 25m to the pool from the rooms. Safe for children to play in the garden. Dirt road that can be driven by any car to the destination. Card facilities are available. Borehole water is used on site. Filtered water is provided. Will go back again.

We were very happy with our 2-night stay in prep for our long-haul flights. It is a lovely spot and conveniently situated for airport access for out of town travellers. Peter and Carola are welcoming and relaxed hosts. We look forward to a return visit.

It was definitely a breathtaking visit, nice away from everyone and everything. We enjoyed every moment from our late night swim to our intimate visit next to the braai. Everyone was very nice and we felt very welcome.

It was an amazing experience - I would recommend Wind-Rose for sure, it was neat, clean. We felt absolutely at home with access to everything you would want in your home and so much more. Beautiful view, it was windy so unfortunately we couldn't use the pool and facilities outside - but we will definitely visit again. It was very nice.

We had a pleasant stay. I think a quick sweep under the couches would be nice, but we had no real complaints.
My two daughters and I stayed wonderfully, and the hostess was very helpful. Although not self-catering, we were able to make use of the communal kitchen which suited us very well. The gardens, the surroundings and the views are really beautiful!
The kitchen opens too late in the morning, we could only have breakfast when they were done at 11:30, it was frustrating to wait. We were not allowed to use their fridge so most of our meat went off. No, I won't recommend it to anyone, there were too many don'ts.

At first the location worried us so between plots, but it resulted in a silence that is to be recommended.

From the time we arrived until the time we left, Peter and Carola made us feel welcome. Breakfasts were more than yummy and each morning we received a personal welcome to the breakfast table. The rooms were lovely and spacious, nicely decorated and always clean. Often we would merely sit on the veranda, enjoy the beautiful gardens and the magnificent sunsets. The children enjoyed the pool and the free and easy access to their room. All in all a wonderful holiday enjoyed by all of us.

The air-conditioned room is furnished with a king-size bed and has an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower and a bath. The room is equipped with a TV with selected DStv channels, Wi-Fi, a safe, an iron, a hairdryer, a fridge, as well as tea- and coffee-making facilities, and opens onto a private terrace overlooking the garden and mountain.
Harry and Manu German owners of Wind-Rose Guest House, aim to provide a luxurious stay, and guests have a choice of lovely rooms that can accommodate between 2 to 3 people. The air-conditioned rooms are furnished with extra-length king-size beds, single beds or sleeper couches, and have en-suite bathrooms fitted with showers and baths.
