We really enjoyed our visit. Rooms were tidy and beds made when we came back from a trip. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Security also very reliable. Unfortunately, every now and then there is a wafting smell from the canal which is slightly unpleasant, but the lodge was perfect.

We were highly satisfied with everything, especially the staff. The other guests were also very friendly. I just want room 14 to have a door that goes outside like all the other rooms. Will be much more comfortable to unload and carry things into room than walking down hallway while guests are sitting in lobby.

We had a bad night with the kitchen very close and where the staff started making noise at 4am. Right above our window, a security light illuminated our room all night and from 05:00 people started scrambling in all the Lodge's bins below our window for cans and things to recycle or something. We just hope their other rooms are better.

This is not the first time we have stayed at the lodge. And, like last time, we were amazed that every member of staff, regardless of position, received us warmly and carried us on their hands. No request was too much. Each room received brand new mattresses during our stay. The beds slept great and the room was spotless. We were also upgraded to a more luxurious room without asking. We had a beautiful view of the pool, as well as our own little balcony. I want to give the management full marks for the friendliness that prevails there. This is our "home away from home". Thank you guys.

Very central and neat. A bit noisy, but sufficient for one night. Very nice breakfast and swimming pool.

I stayed in one of the smaller and less expensive rooms. Very basic, but clean and neat. Good location to quickly get to a nearby restaurant. Very small TV set, no shower gel or shampoo provided, no views.

Friendly reception. Very good location. I thought the traffic would be a bit of a nuisance as it is on a busy road, but that was not the case at all. Room was well equipped and it is nice that breakfast is served on site. Will definitely visit again.

Although we only stayed one night, one could most definitely enjoy quite a few nights. We were welcomed with smiles and showed to our room. We have booked an economy room and it was not that small at all! The room had two doors - one to the passage and the other one led to the outside where our car was safely parked behind electric sliding gate. Besides the comfy bed and crisp clean linen, we had a bar fridge, kettle and lots of coffee, tea, milk & sugars - and to top it all there was Baker's Good Morning biscuits. The en-suite bathroom had a rather big shower, wash basin and toilet. The next morning we had a scrumptious breakfast. The seating area is all open plan adjacent to the kitchen and we have to mention and complement the kitchen staff for the peace and quiet they maintained. Before departing we had a quick walk through the garden and admired the clean swimming pool.

Woodbridge Lodge is well situated just off a main road not too far from V&A Waterfront, the city bowl and Blouberg and is a short drive away from De Grendel Wine Estate. The lodge has an amazing view of the lagoon and mountain from the breakfast deck, the staff are friendly and more than willing to assist you with anything that you ask. The breakfast is delicious and the team really know how to cook the food to perfection, not many people cook bacon and spice mushrooms as well as the Woodbridge Lodge's breakfast team, there is also a delivery service directly to the lodge from nearby restaurants. You get your own remote to the gate which makes it very secure and you can rest assured that your car will be safely parked within the premises, the area that the lodge is in seems to be very clean and crime free. We left our belongings in the room and the cleaning staff didn't touch a thing, even though they had full access to do so which means that they are very reliable and trustworthy. I would most definitely book into the lodge again, the rate which Woodbridge Lodge charges is less than most places in the area but the decor and pool area make it seem that you are in a far more expensive establishment. Woodbridge Lodge would make an excellent home base for anyone looking to explore the Cape Peninsula. I would definitely book into the lodge again in future.

Our visit was very nice and comfortable, everything was at hand and available with friendly staff. But there was just a small slip that happened on Sunday morning at breakfast. My husband and I went to get our muffins from the bank and when we took a bite we discovered that the muffins were moldy underneath. There were such ugly green mold spots underneath and inside and it was rock solid. I couldn't believe my eyes that they put such things out to eat, we then searched the bowl and found that everything was like that and we showed the ladies in the kitchen and they took the bowl away, luckily no one was in front of us yet not at the bowl, one can get terribly ill that way.

"Good accommodation but inexperienced staff."

Each staff member we saw seemed inexperienced and not well trained. They were not available when we arrived or left. There was a notice at the reception desk to ring the bell for service but there was no bell. One other guest left because there was no-one around to sign her out. After calling for a while I went looking for someone to assist me and eventually found all the staff on the balcony upstairs watching a race starting on Woodbridge Lodge. We booked at the Lodge because we were going to a party and expected to leave after midnight so we didn't want to drive back to the Winelands. Unfortunately we were not aware when we booked that there was a big event and so after a very late night we were woken before 07:00 by loudspeakers and then pumping music.

"Feel at home immediately upon arrival."

Staff very friendly and helpful, even the guard outside. Room and facilities are luxurious. Breakfast is icing on the cake. We will definitely come again.

Alles goed. In nr. 3 gebly. Behalwe geen haardroër met plug by spieël nie. Dit is basiese goed wat daar moet wees. Nadat ek gevra het, het hulle 'n droër gebring, maar die koord was nie lank genoeg om na die spieël (bokant die bed) te kom nie. Ketel en yskas op dieselfde plug, moet altyd uithaal en ander een weer insit. Dubbel plug daar benodig. Geen bolaken vir warm dae nie. Geen aircon. Raserige fan. Nr. 2 is die plugs by die kopenent waar jou kop lê. Dis heeltemaal onmoontlik om so te slaap.

"Safe and close to business center."

The immediate surroundings made me feel unsafe when I drove from the airport very late at night. The lodge, on the other hand, is well secured and security was on duty all evening and we were able to check in quickly and comfortably. The lodge is conveniently located and Waterfront and Century City are both easily accessible, even in the middle of the Cape morning traffic.

Even though it was after hours, they received me very warmly. There was continuous and good communication and the room was comfortable, especially taking into account the cold weather. Nothing was too much trouble for the hosts.

Single beds only. I needed one queen and a single bed. The rooms on the ground floor have no privacy. People walking to the carpark can look into the rooms. You cannot keep the curtains closed all day. Parking safe, the spaces are poorly marked. The shower economy water measures are poor.

Thank you very much for a wonderfully relaxing 2 night stay. The six of us thoroughly enjoyed being able to stay in adjoining rooms around the poolside. The Lodge is so close to Century City and Grand West making it easy for us "country bumpkins" to find our way there.
