Wonderful stay with everything you need to rest well, but the roof leaked and a drain stank.
The house was absolutely beautiful, it is spacious and clean and so full of light with all the windows. We had everything we needed, and it was a short walk into town. In fact, we walked every day we were there; there was no need for a vehicle once you arrived. We felt safe, relaxed, and isolated, which is great. We went to disconnect from work and everything, and that's exactly what we did. It was amazing.
The Forest Blockhouse was exactly as advertised. It is a beautiful place and very clean and tidy. I would recommend it to anyone.
Our stay at Woud Blokhuis far exceeded our expectations. The cabin is so unique, comfortable, and hygienic. This is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The host was also incredibly helpful and accommodating.
The home is warm and inviting and the owners have paid special attention down to the smallest detail. Would not hesitate to recommend this wonderful home.
This location is magical. It gets even better at night with the whole house showcasing nature's beauty. Surrounded by magnificent trees. Definitely a bucket list stay. House of dreams, tranquil and peaceful stay.
Only suggestion is perhaps to have some outside furniture on the back deck, also maybe Wi-Fi.
The cabin was the perfect weekend getaway with everything provided to allow for a relaxing stay. The cabin does get very cold during load shedding in winter when the heaters aren't on, so using the gas heater and hot water bottles was essential (the fireplace is more of an indoor braai, so doesn't really warm the cabin). Wished we'd had another night!
The Poachers Restaurant was an excellent meal. Walking around and getting to know Dullstroom was a blast. Recommend the wine tasting and the shops to browse. Was great.

My recommendation is it would be nice if there were a small packet of rusks presented instead of the container of rusks that was almost empty as it feels very impersonal for such an intimate space.
If the bicycle can be used, it will be great.

We stayed in Woud Blokhuis for our 25th wedding anniversary. The place is even more beautiful than in the photos. Beautifully decorated, and the trees around the house made it feel like we were in the middle of a forest. Highly recommended.
The accommodation is great. Clean, comfortable with all the necessary accessories for easy self-catering. There is also a JoJo tank to alleviate Dullstroom's water problem to some extent. We will be back.
The house has everything a guest needs and activities to relax. The location is very good.
Perfect getaway for 2 days. Peaceful escape. I would like to recommend that a TV be installed. Place very well equipped and tasteful! Will visit again for sure! Thank you very much!

I do not have enough words to describe how beautiful and amazing the cabin was. The peace and tranquillity is unmatched.
The lovely large windows bring nature inside. The Forest Blockhouse is well furnished with lovely linen, enough blankets and heaters for cold nights. The indoor braai was also very convenient. And there is a huge selection of books and board games for everyone.
It is a place where one can really rest. Well appointed, comfortable and spacious.
Our time at Blokhuis was short, but the house offered a new experience. The layout and space of the open-plan house was very nice, neat, with everything we could need. House offered quiet and privacy which was heavenly for a romantic getaway to get away from the city.
We only stayed one night at Woud Blokhuis but will be back to experience more. Very good location and a restful environment.

The decor is stunning and I loved exploring the library and all the books we found around the house. What a fantastic stay.
My family and I had a lovely place to stay in Dullstroom to kick off the birthday celebrations. The Woud Blokhuis has all the equipment we needed on hand. There were lots of books and board games so you were never bored. The Forest Blockhouse is modern and you feel like you are in a romantic film with the beautiful scenery. Will recommend and visit again in the future.

Very, very cozy place to visit! The space and decor and all the books made us feel at home very quickly. The vinyl player was a "nice touch" (we also have one at home) and the music fit in nicely with the atmosphere. We will definitely go back again!

Very spacious, clean and tidy! No TV, just what you need when you're away! In town, but feel like you're staying in the woods! Very calm, you could fully recharge.
The location is fantastic. One thing that did bother me a bit was that the shower did not look clean. About the rest, one can no longer find fault at all.

Our boy, who is now a year and a half, kept us very busy with the stairs, open deck and beautiful decor. Other than that, it was very nice. Dullstroom just deteriorated a lot and it was very sad to experience.
Die Woud Blokhuis is a beautiful place very central in Dullstroom, even if it feels as if you are visiting deep hidden in a pine forest. The unique building style contributes to the experience of the incredibly beautiful environment in which you will find yourself. You literally experience the forest with all your senses! It's exactly what you need if you want to escape the rat race. Just remember that access to the pipe yard may be easier with a taller vehicle, and that the steps are a bit steep at the front door. But definitely worth a visit!

It is a beautiful, modern and elegant house with all the necessary amenities! You don't have to go anywhere if you stay there, because the beauty makes it a holiday on its own! The view from every window is picturesque and good for the soul. If you enjoy staying in a nice place while on vacation, this is the home!
By far one of the best places we have stayed at. The Woud Blokhuis is within walking distance of good places to eat and shops. We really enjoyed our time there. We will definitely want to stay at the Woud Blokhuis again in the future.
Would be nice if the futon bed is replaced with a regular double bed for more comfort and maybe a screen for more privacy. We just struggled to find the switch for the outdoor lights. Otherwise was as perfect. Will definitely book again.

My husband and I, together with our 2 month old son and our dog stayed here. The house is wonderful and big. Just what we needed. It was peaceful and the town was great. We really enjoyed our stay and would come back again.
What a great long weekend getaway! From the owners accommodating our late arrival, to the beautifully appointed home - everything was perfection. It does get cold at night, so pack an extra layer or two, and if you're bringing your fur-kids - bring an extra blanket to cover the couch if you'd like them to join you on it.
The cabin is one of the most beautiful styled homes with some of South Africa's most well know artists prints. The cabin is warm and inviting yet classy and beautiful. It is surrounded by trees and in the cabin you are surrounded by books. If you are traveling to Dullstroom or past this is a must.
The Woud Blokhuis has exceeded all our expectations. The house is neat, clean, tastefully furnished and the amount of attention to detail in the house is a reflection of the pride the owners have in the house. A spacious house big enough for 4 adults without feeling cramped. The environment is beautiful, with the house in the woods, quiet with a glass of wine and listening to the wind chatting through the trees, one can only relax. We will definitely go to Woud Blokhuis again.
Very cozy place and we felt very much at home. The term "attention to detail" originated in the house, so we marveled at the house. Will definitely go again, so good luck getting a place.
