Maintenance of house not as desired and some of the furniture is very old. Kitchen is well equipped. Wooden fence outside needs a lot of attention, is old and falling apart. The wooden house (wendy) is an eyesore. The visiting area (deck) above the garage is not recommended at all, nor are the wooden stairs to the deck. House and the living area need a lot of attention.
Closet doors broken, shower heads broken, no key for doors except entry door, power was out when we got there in 40 degrees. Would have been a really nice visit if they looked after their houses better. Pool was dirty. Cobwebs in rooms. Very unfriendly people at Securicon to pick up key.
House is nice and spacious but needs urgent repair work. It rained hard for 2 hours with the result that the whole house was under water. It rained into the room with the 2 single beds on the top floor through the new thatched roof (which we learned was redone in August) and the water seeped through the wooden floor into the lower room. The aircon in the same room leaks causing the room to smell musty. The upper floor living room also had it rain in 4 different places through the thatched roof. The lower room closest to the parking's aircon is also leaking inside the room. The pool was dirty and unusable.
No toilet paper or soap in the bathrooms. Pool was dirty and unusable. The wooden scaffolding and wooden fence at the back of the braai area are dilapidated and in need of serious work. Garden chairs at the braai area were broken.
Value for money and safe.
We loved the animals in our surroundings. Was a wonderful time away in the bush.
House is tidy with everything you need for a comfortable stay.
However, the mattresses and bedding on the ground floor need attention. More emergency lights in case of a power outage would be an asset.
Would choose Zebra Haven any time again for a time away. Nice place to get away and just relax.
I wouldn't even take the place again for nothing. Everything was dirty and untidy - everything had to be washed before it could be used. A lot of things are broken. It's actually easier to say what was right instead of what was wrong. The air conditioner and fridge worked!
We had a great stay, the place was very nice, clean and spacious. Everything was there that we needed. Pool was a blessing for the heat. Many animals came to visit looking for something to snack on. Would definitely recommend and wouldn't mind booking there again for our next visit.

Marloth Park was fantastic with their safety and clean.
There were small mistakes but the owner fixed them quickly. Will go back to Zebra Haven again. Had a great stay. Many animals come to the house in the evening looking for something to eat. Zebra Haven is also very safe to stay in.
We were only home for a short time because we went to the Wildlife Park. The house needs attention. The bricks painted white are full of dust and do not show well. We found problems which we brought to the attention of the owner, upstairs there is a blocked sink and drain pipe which is down and running the water against the house, in room with 2 single beds the tube light was flickering and making a big noise
Our stay was wonderful. House is well furnished. Will definitely book accommodation at Zebra again.
Even though we had a nice time, there are a few suggestions I'd like to make: I would plaster the walls inside the house because at the moment it appears dirty because there is dust in the slit between the bricks. The sheets for the double bed doesn't fit properly (a bit too small and couldn't be tucked in) so when you turn around the sheet rolls up under you. Fumigate the house to get rid of the bugs in the thatch roof. Make the deck a bit more accessible place. The accommodation has some good potential.
Great location, for first time visit to Marloth Park, Zebra Haven is comfortable, spacious and safe. I would recommend a decent stove with an oven be placed in the place as getting back from KNP so late was hectic to braai, one aircon was not working. Other than that it was a fabulous experience with all the close up animals right there and the crocodile river right there. Will definitely return for a visit.
Very nice stay. Everything was clean and neat. No problem with electricity or warm water. The owner Brent was very friendly and helpful. He is in the process of upgrading the equipment and installing a new dining set and frying pan. Game is very tame and we saw kudus, bush-buck, duikers, zebras and warthogs at our camp.
I would not recommend Zebra Haven to anyone. The most unpleasant holiday experience ever. The power is off for a few hours every day. The cutlery and everything in the kitchen is about 50 years old. This along with the furniture in the house. Everyone has their own taste, but not furniture and cutlery that dates from the 1950s. If you have a holiday home that you rent out, you must keep it clean and update it over time. The house has three doors going outside, we only have one set of keys for one door. The photos on the web where you can sit upstairs are locked with a lock and chain. Lastly, please take all your personal photos and funeral letters out of the house because I'm sure not any guest staying there wants to see them. It is very unprofessional to do such a thing. It felt to me like I was visiting my grandmother's house in the 1950's, most disgusting holiday ever in my life. Couldn't sleep at all in the evenings with all the personal belongings of the owner in the house. Would not recommend it to any person at all.
