Comfortable, easy check-in and check-out.
The room has everything needed, spacious and comfortable. Due to additions over time, it is a dark room. The lights must be permanently on. The outside area, including the garden and braai area, was unkempt. The wooden door is rotting off, creating a poor impression.
We had a great stay! Grateful that our child of 6 could stay with us, although it is only a room for 2.
We had to go and buy our own pan because the pan was so dirty. The shower does not have a curtain in front, so the water floods the entire bathroom. I open the sliding glass door from the outside, even if it is locked. The ceiling fan in the living room runs so slowly it doesn't even help, and the freestanding fan isn't much better. There is gas for the stove and the shower. The kitchen is full of cook rats.
Absolutely wonderful facilities just need to clean the extractor fan in the bathroom.

We enjoyed the stay, except when they decided to service their aircon.
The flat is well-appointed and comfortable and the property is neat and tidy.
The WiFi was very fast, 136 down and 151 meg up, didn't really need it, we're on the Telkom network. They give us a lot of data but wanted the speed test. Mobile data was also fast. Zur See's WiFi is probably on fiber which gives the high speed. Here in Durban we generally struggle with mobile data speed due to the environment we are in. Very densely populated area.
The sensor on the gate did not seem to be working, we just made it out in time!

Location is good for the beach, restaurants and shops. Lovely view. Honestly a great place to stay. Friendly dogs - think that was the highlight of the stay for our son. Think we fell in love with them a little as well. We will be back.
Got there late but all was as we were told it would be got in easily with the code and remote. Loved the location close to the beach. Loved the king-size bed and could not find my partner!
Loadshedding is a problem.
The apartment was nice and comfortable and close to restaurants and the sea. Don, the caretaker, was also very helpful with anything we needed.
Proposal. A rail on both sides of the stairs will make climbing easier as stairs are much higher on one side than the side with rails.
The house is very neat, clean and has everything one needs.

Please list my online review under an alias "Niccie". The venue was suitably priced and cemented our plans to use the venue on a regular basis. It suited our budget without feeling cheap or backpacking. I definitely plan on recommending it to friends/family. The apartment was comfortable and all our needs were catered for. I was particularly impressed by the intuition of the staff. We left our bin out on the stoep and it was replaced clean without any need for explanation. You see travel programmes and they emphasise, location, location, location. This venue is a prime location. Warm wishes to the owner. Specific suggestions and recommendations sent directly to the owner.
I got there in the dark, in a heavy downpour and load shedding at 9 o'clock in the evening. The WhatsApp explanations were accurate. I left again the next morning at 5:30. If I can recommend anything at all, it's that their emergency light inside the unit could be better. I had to use my cellphone light.

Didn't meet the standard I expected booking through Lekkaslaap. It needs an upgrade. Dark, doesn't feel clean. Good location, nice view.
Unit is very well appointed with lots of room to move around and space. The room, kitchen, bathroom and living area are very neat, clean and comfortable. Zur See is not in the busy states of Ballito and therefore the perfect place if you want to relax a bit without being too far from everything. We really enjoyed it.
Pleasant visit, the units were very neat and clean. The unit my parents stayed in did not have a lighter for the gas. My unit's gas was turned off, luckily I know how to work with gas bottles.
House is located in a good place and we had the most beautiful view. The cutest guard dogs that visited us every day and Alex who maintains the place was extremely nice and friendly.

The unit we stayed in was extremely private and very peaceful. It had absolutely everything one could think of. The owner thought of everything and we lacked nothing. It was quiet and peaceful, and the sofas and bed were wonderfully comfortable. All the appliances in the residence were in working order and all the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We now want to make it our annual vacation spot, because of the good service and friendliness of everyone. The privacy mattered a lot, and we noticed it from day one. True value for money! Thank you to Don, Alex and everyone else for your boundless kindness and service. See you again next year!
Cute, perfect house by the sea!
The place needs attention to the basic things. An image is created that someone will come to wash a cup or 2 daily, and any additional cleaning is extra expense, but that did not happen. The cutlery and cookware are not decently clean, the bedding has not been washed for a long time - we slept on top of the bed with our own blanket. The owner does not keep his hand on the place. The only highlight here was the dogs - they absolutely made up for it. We also stayed at a self-catering place in Clarens earlier in the year at the same rate, and the service absolutely exceeded our expectations. Despite a bunch of good reviews on the web and 1 or 2 bad ones, I decided to give it a shot - not again.

The unit is not neatly finished, very untidy. The unit was also not neatly cleaned when we arrived and we were only able to move into our unit for about three hours. The headboard hangs loose, the front door doesn't close at all and the owner says it's not a problem because it's safe. The fridge had to be cleaned by us.
As a last minute booking, and having an exception made for my own dog, we felt at home at this beautiful place. Both Buttercup and Holly are lovely and friendly, and accepted us as their own. And the owner was most welcoming and friendly.

Holly and Buttercup kept us and my 2 furkids company all the time. Don went out of his way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The atmosphere was amazing. Even though it was our first stay at Don's place, it felt very homely. I would recommend it anytime. Thank you Don and your furkids for the amazing stay and not to forget Alex, who was also very helpful and full of smiles.

Silver clean cottage, with lots of space inside, located in a lovely large garden. Very good location in Ballito. Everything you need for self-care is provided. Bonus were 2 beautiful dogs on the property to play with. I highly recommend Zur See.

We and our dog had a great stay here. There is enough space for your puppy to frolic and it was nice to have other dogs there too. The accommodation's location is very good. It's also nice to see the sea from the balcony. We will definitely stay at Zur See Seaview again.

Don is a perfect host, he welcomes you and makes sure you are comfortable. The house is spacious, clean with a beautiful sea view. It is very safe with secure parking. Our dogs were safe if we sometimes drove without taking them with us. We will definitely stay there again.

Owner very friendly. Nice stroll on the stoop with a sea view. Als was very nice and clean. Ample space for 6 people and more comfortable couches. There are 3 dogs that bark a lot, but there is a small area cordoned off for other puppies. Steel gate that closes in the evenings between lounge and bedroom but no key to lock. Will stay there again. Thank you.
